We were lucky to catch up with Chris Young-Ginzburg recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chris, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Crazy stuff happening is almost as certain as death and taxes – it’s technically “unexpected” but something unexpected happening is to be expected and so can you share a crazy story with our readers
One of the most impactful moments in my work came when I discovered that a healing experience I’d had with a client was featured in a published book. I learned about it after being referred to as a “master healer” by the author during a public speaking event. The news took me by surprise: I had just returned to Northern California from nearly half a year abroad, where I’d sold almost everything to completely reset my life. In fact, I had retired my successful body/energy healing business to focus on my own healing and figure out my next steps.
Hearing that my work was documented in a book—especially at a time when I was so focused on my own regeneration—reminded me how profoundly I can impact someone’s life. That realization made it clear I needed to continue this work, yet in a new form. My sabbatical changed me on many levels, and with that change came a renewed understanding of how to evolve my healing practice. Despite stepping away briefly, this experience confirmed how meaningful my work truly is and strengthened my resolve to continue offering it in a way that reflects my personal growth and the power we have to heal ourselves.

Chris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Chris Young-Ginzburg, and my journey into the healing arts began nearly two decades ago with a deep passion for dance, creative expression, and exploring the unseen realms of energy. I got my start at the Berkeley Psychic Institute, where I received formal training in clairvoyance. Around the same time, I was also pursuing holistic health studies at The World School of Massage, which led me to specialize in Vibrational Healing Massage, life coaching, and energy work. My background in performance—dance, theater, and voice—naturally wove into these healing practices, giving me a unique perspective on how creativity and spirituality can merge to foster profound personal transformation.
Services & Offerings
Today, I offer a range of services designed to help people awaken their intuitive gifts and ignite their personal power. My primary focus is on:
• Intuitive Coaching: Helping clients break through limiting beliefs, gain clarity on their life path, and step boldly into their purpose.
• Sound & Voice Activation: Guiding individuals to use the healing power of their own voice and sound for emotional release, energetic realignment, and creative self-expression.
• Membership Programs: These programs, under my business Grove Circle Healing, include a monthly 90-minute class on various spiritual and energetic topics, as well as a monthly Prayer Circle. This structure supports consistent growth and offers a community space for ongoing exploration.
My clients often come to me seeking emotional healing, vocal freedom, or a deeper spiritual connection with themselves and the world around them. I help them move through blockages—whether it’s fear of using their voice, uncertainty about their intuitive abilities, or generational pain they’re ready to release. I’m proud to say my approach was featured in a Hay House docuseries called Radical Remission, showcasing the life-changing impact of my work, including a case in which my coaching contributed to someone’s cancer recovery.
What Sets Me Apart & What I’m Most Proud Of
What truly differentiates my work is the way I combine performance arts—dance, movement, vocal expression—with energy healing and intuitive coaching. I don’t see creativity and spirituality as separate; instead, I believe our artistic nature can be the key to unlocking deeper levels of healing and self-awareness. This holistic approach resonates with people who are ready not only to heal but also to celebrate life through expression and embodiment. I’m especially proud of fostering communities where individuals feel safe to explore their voice, strengthen their intuition, and rediscover their passion. I’ve witnessed firsthand how these tools can transform someone’s life, reshaping old patterns and freeing up new possibilities for growth and joy.
If there’s one thing I’d want potential clients, followers, or collaborators to know, it’s that real healing and transformation happen when we honor both the physical and the energetic parts of ourselves—and creativity is a powerful bridge between the two. My work is an invitation to step into deeper self-trust, embrace your unique gifts, and create lasting change within your own life and lineage. I’m grateful to share this journey with anyone who feels called to explore the depths of their intuitive and creative potential.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In 2011, I felt a strong call to step away from my successful body and energy work practice. I’d been pouring so much of myself into helping others that I realized my own well-being needed urgent attention. So, I sold nearly all my possessions—leaving myself with only a few boxes—and traveled through Europe with my sister for almost half a year. It had always been a dream of mine to embark on such an adventure, and in doing so, I gifted myself the time and space to heal, reflect, and reset.
When I returned to California, I felt renewed and clear on just how crucial it is for healers—myself included—to take care of our own energy. I needed to refill my “well of giving” before I could continue sharing my gifts with others. That time away not only reconnected me to my joy of exploration but also helped me gain perspective on the work I was truly ready to offer. It was a pivotal moment that reminded me I can only help others to the extent that I’ve tended to my own growth and well-being.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
That trip to Europe was anything but easy. The day my sister and I left, we were met with the tragic news of a friend’s suicide, and soon after, discovered we had the wrong tickets—forcing us to spend a large portion of our savings on last-minute flights. It felt like one obstacle after another, yet each time we paused, took a breath, and reminded ourselves of our deeper commitment to this journey.
Amid these challenges, what truly emerged was trust in the unknown—the understanding that we don’t always need a clear roadmap to keep going. Every setback became an invitation to lean into faith rather than fear, revealing a wellspring of resilience I didn’t realize I had. By staying the course and embracing each twist and turn, I learned that trusting the process, even in the midst of uncertainty, can open doors we never knew existed.
