Alright, VLXLYIIE thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

This past year has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the good, the bad, & the ugly its been like the sun telling us we’re headed straight into its last good eye. Any more closer we might just ask if its got a spare… but that’s what has been helping achieve focus on breaking-ground for this year long project named CAUTION! A set of distinct sounds to enhance & encourage the walk of life we thrive in.

As found in the last track of the project, “CAUTION! EP for awareness in the growth of social justice, safe climate change, equity, & school yards 4 the kids.”

Honestly, to discourage any negative sentiment with the beat I would just refer you to the track-list, with personal favorites, ie: mua!, i, & BLK DIAMONDS. Just right in time to slip on those Christmas slippers grandma was shaking you down for.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

It’s hard to recall when you’re in a business or industry in the middle of a concert hall with guitar riffs & drum sounds shaking the walls of an already packed group of liberating individuals. I truly felt, I was first baptized by the congregation at the sound of the first note to a Friday night.

Since then I’ve never turned back from enjoying every moment life has to offer & make the most of my passion, my love, & the craft. More recently, I’ve been focusing creating those same dreams I saw in movies & the few nights I caught a glimpse of during the weekends with my own 9 to 5 at Ultralight Babe Productions.

Nothing like a last minute call to grab the right lens or wardrobe to an evening event & make something impossible into a lasting story to tell & fit it all into frame. Just something about that call… from a creative standpoint it’s as far as your imagination can take you.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Yes. I believe there’s a reason the sun sets & the moon rises. To what ends would it go to be the one to tell it that it’s the time of our nights just to make sure the world doesn’t grow cold without either one of them, is written in the stars.

Until then speaking up for myself & that those that depend on me or don’t know any better, in court, outside, or in prison is a good way to tell anything under the big blue sky, I am free for everlong.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Gosh, I wish I had the time. There’s too many to count but one that does stick out & it usually comes up every 4 years. Now that I think about it’s been more persistent as of late.

That’s okay though history changes, mountains emerge & lava is still hot. It is both knowing & understanding why life doesn’t pick a victor but rather continues its ever-long journey across it all.

Just don’t forget to get a bit creative with it, even for just a dance while your feet kiss the earth on last time. A quote I came across from mother earth’s very own Thich Nhat Hanh, yes.
