We were lucky to catch up with Stephen Quinn recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stephen, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I started my business back in 2020. I was just getting started in my photography career. Life wise I was just graduating from NYIP. If I could have started sooner I would have went to school sooner and started my business at the same time.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a photographer specializing in nature, wildlife, landscape, and pet photography, combining my love of the outdoors with my passion for capturing meaningful moments. My journey into photography began as a way to document the beauty I encountered during hikes, fishing trips, and time spent exploring the natural world. Over time, this hobby transformed into a craft and a business, allowing me to share these scenes with others and preserve memories through my lens.
Products & Services
I provide a range of photography services, including:
• Nature and Wildlife Photography: Capturing the beauty of landscapes, wildlife, and serene outdoor settings.
• Pet Photography: Celebrating the personality and spirit of pets with portraits and action shots.
• Custom Projects: Commissioned shoots for specific locations, events, or themes, such as fishing and hunting trips.
• Prints and Artwork: High-quality prints of my photography are available for purchase to bring a piece of nature into homes or offices.
I also enjoy creating photo titles, captions, and descriptions that reflect the essence of each image, helping viewers connect emotionally with the work.
What Problems I Solve
I help clients preserve special moments, celebrate their love for nature or pets, and bring vibrant, meaningful art into their lives. My work is for anyone seeking to capture the beauty of the outdoors, showcase the personality of their pet, or invest in unique photography for personal or professional purposes.
What Sets Me Apart
I believe my ability to connect with the environment, anticipate those perfect moments, and bring them to life in an authentic way sets me apart. Each photo I take is deeply personal, reflecting a love for the subject and an attention to detail that resonates with my clients and followers. My background in fishing and exploring Wildlife Management Areas brings a unique perspective to my work, especially in blending storytelling with visual artistry.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m proud of creating photography that inspires people to see the beauty in their surroundings. Whether it’s a serene landscape, a vibrant wildlife moment, or a cherished pet portrait, I love knowing that my work evokes emotion and helps people connect with nature. Additionally, I’m proud of the positive feedback I’ve received from clients and followers, which fuels my creativity and drives me to continue improving.
What I Want You to Know
If you’re considering working with me or exploring my photography, know that each piece or session is tailored to celebrate the unique moments that matter most to you. My work isn’t just about taking photos—it’s about creating art that tells a story, preserves memories, and showcases the beauty of the world we live in.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey and my work—I’m excited to connect with you!

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I sell on two different sites. First one is PicFair it is a site to sell my artwork for prints. For anyone who loves my photography and wants to bring it in their house hold or office space. The next place would be Printify. Being able to use that to create something with my logo side of my photography business. Pros they are made for what I’m looking to do. Cons there’s no real marketing help with the site for business owners who need help that way.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with either email, instagram messenger.
