Hi King , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

We’d like to discuss Our latest & upcoming single and visual, “Mr Pusherman.” As well as our upcoming 10 city national tour as direct support for HedPe. First our newest song speaks on the drug problems existing in this world past and present… All based on a true story this new single touches on a what life is for the people doing the dope as well as those who sell it. The joyful pains… the highs and the lows of being addicted to not only the drugs but being addicted to the money that comes from selling them. It also emphasizes on Big Pharma and our American Federal Government way of dealing with the problems of our society and the true victims of the so called “War on drugs.” And let’s also not forget to mention everything that comes with it. With very potent lyrical content, this song is more of journey as well as a true story. As the song stands for more than 6 minutes, we realized the visual was more of a short film rather than just another music video. As many of our true fans know, King Baby Familia always delivers a real message and on this particular subject we definitely have a lot to say. In all honesty I’m expecting quite a lot of backlash from from it and probably a little more hate mail than usual hahaha. I’m sure it will picked apart and misunderstood by many while others will see, hear and understand it’s true message. “The water definitely gets pretty deep on this new track no doubt and I’m sure everyone will be sure to feel something.” That feeling will be determined by which side of the fence you live on and everyone’s own experience with drug abuse. The ironic thing about this subject is Whether it’s Yourself, family, friend or loved one… I’m sure on this subject like dope… everyone knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody. You can catch King Baby Familia on a national tour as direct support for HedPe from September 28 to Oct 8. We will be touring the West Coast and will be in West Hollywood, Ca. King , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

King Baby Familia was 1st introduced Jan 13, 2015. We started as a Hip Hop/ Reggae act as 6 musicians from all over the globe. All of us coming from different countries and different genres of music. We hit the scene as something no one had ever really seen before. We also got off to a pretty fast start. We quickly became known as the band that wasn’t afraid to speak on subjects that these bands tend to stay away from. Usually speaking on lots of dark subjects with a positive mindset, we really wanted our listeners to just feel something and not be so comfortably numb. “We’ve never concerned ourselves with fan service… We’ve always wrote what comes from the heart and said what needed to be said.” This may have cost us quite a few gigs but that’s never why we started doing this in the first place. We’re just a group of Family men who found something we all believed in. The was simply the music and eachother. The Familia… The fans we’ve always related to most were usually outkasts, introverts and those dealing with social issues anxiety and of course depression. Honestly speaking everyone in the band deals with similar issues and we all found peace amongst eachother and the Familia. Something special happens when we have our instruments and are in the same room together. It’s truly been an amazing journey and unforgettable experience.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Life is resilience. If you get in this business or any situation in life and think it’s going to be all roses… the not usually how it goes for most. I know for us every step of the way we’ve had to deal with all kinds of adversity… Financial, spiritual, timing… all the moons must align and you must always be prepared as you never know when opportunity comes knocking. Embrace every opportunity and understand that you don’t know as much as you think you might. Remember to always leave room for humility, work ethic and you must also be prepared for what comes with failure and success. Trust… life and business are only what you make of it.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The only goal I have personally is to find peace and financial stability thru the music and that which we have created. I hope I can share this peace with others and leave something special behind when I’m gone. I’d like to think my downfalls and positive outcomes can help others in whatever way they they can. I hope people can maybe learn from my past mistakes and also become aware of how to deal with negative energies in a positive manner. Negative energy is still energy… and in the rights hands and mindset can be used towards something positive. If anything I’d most like to leave people with a simple message of hope and an emotion of peace. Peace love happiness and nothing but Mad Mad love from the whole KingBabyFamilia you know.
