We were lucky to catch up with Alina Zhecheva recently and have shared our conversation below.

When GlowVita Med Spa first began, we knew that building a team of A-players would be the foundation for our long-term success. While starting a business is always an exciting journey, assembling the right team to reflect our vision was a deliberate and thoughtful process.

At the very beginning, we prioritized finding individuals who not only had the technical expertise but also shared our passion for making clients feel cared for and confident. Our recruiting approach was anything but conventional. We didn’t just look at resumes—we focused on identifying people who genuinely aligned with our values.

We reached out to local networks, attended industry events, and even scouted talent through personal recommendations. Our interviews were designed not just to assess skills but to uncover their ability to connect with clients on a human level. Questions like, “How would you create a lasting impression for a first-time client?” or “What does great customer care mean to you?” helped us determine if candidates were the right cultural fit.

Once onboard, we emphasized a training process that combined technical mastery with emotional intelligence. My name is Alina Zhecheva, and I am the proud founder of GlowVita Med Spa. My journey to opening GlowVita has been anything but conventional, shaped by my deep love for medicine, beauty, and helping people feel their best. I originally studied medicine in Ukraine and ran a small but thriving Botox and fillers practice there. It was an experience that allowed me to connect with people in meaningful ways, but it was also where I discovered my passion for aesthetic medicine and the transformational power it holds.

When I came to the United States in 2023, I faced a new and humbling challenge: my medical education did not transfer here. While I couldn’t practice medicine myself, I didn’t want to give up on my dream of creating a space where people could feel confident, rejuvenated, and cared for. That’s when I decided to open GlowVita Med Spa and bring my vision to life in a new way—by building a team of experts who could deliver the same level of excellence I had always strived for.

Starting GlowVita was a leap of faith, not only because it was a new country with different regulations but also because it required me to embrace a new role as a leader. I hired a highly skilled medical director and carefully assembled a team of talented professionals who share my commitment to client care, safety, and exceptional results. It was a shift for me, moving from doing the work myself to empowering others to execute my vision, but it taught me so much about trust, leadership, and collaboration.
