Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ferrer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ferrer, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Certainly this new album “¿Quien C****s es Ferrer? Vol I” which means “Who the F*** is Ferrer?”, answers this question on the title by playing its music.
This album represents my sound as an Artist, writer and Producer on the Latin Market, it translate exactly what Ferrer’s essence is as a project, and who is Jonathan ( my real name ) as a person and musician.
I consider this one as a multi genre album, flirting with sounds from reggaeton, R&B, Latín pop & rock and ballads.
The team I worked this album with is amazing, and it makes it more special because they are really good friends who believe in this project the same way I believe in them.

Ferrer, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a recording artist, music producer and songwriter born in Ecuador and based in Miami. My job is to create songs, and that is what got me on this industry. Creating a story through songs is what drives me and what I love to do everyday, hearing compositions out either sang by another artist or myself and see how people relate with those stories and sound design is just incredible.
On the other side I love to developing artists as well, helping them to find their essence and sound is really cool, at the end of the day is finding each ones light to shine.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal on this journey is to be me, and be happy with who I am and what I do. I only release music that gives me goosebumps (in a good way), songs that takes me to another state of mind, I love songs that people can relate in an organic way, day a day situations, love stories, break hearts, social situations, etc…
I love to hear music and learn about the industry, but at the same time I’m not concerned in repeat what other artists do, each individual is unique, and there is space for everybody, I’m glad I can contribute to artists and to learn from them as well.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
In terms of achieving I think all humans are the same, we all have the hunger to hustle and succeed, no matter what industry you are at, and like all industries there are levels of push that people have the right to take or not, and is always fine no matter what. The important fact is to be happy, feel happy everyday.
“Passion” is something humans can decide to be driven or not, and for artists the craft is part of our DNA, our passion for what we do is part of our life’s, not doing what we love makes harder to breathe.
