We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kevin Robert a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kevin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

This is a hard question because all of my projects have been very meaningful to me. But if I had to choose, it would be my very first photoshoot. To give context, this was August of 2013. I told my cousin that I wanted to be a model, and during the time, he had a friend that was working on a clothing line and were getting ready to do a shoot for it. My cousin told his friend about me and he gave me my very first opportunity. I was beyond. excited and happy, and from then on embarked on my professional journey to this day. Much love to Nino Apparel for giving me my first opportunity. That’s something that I will be grateful forever for.

Kevin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

For those that don’t know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Kevin Robert. I am a model, wardrobe stylist, content creator based in Miami, FL. I have been a model for the past 9 years, and within that time period expanding to wardrobe styling and content creating for social media. I can truly say that I love what I do, especially being in front of a camera. I love being creative, having creative control and ultimately seeing my vision come to life. To this day, I have been on commercials, music videos, ads, billboards, and most recently in the cover of a magazine. It has not always been easy but it has definitely been worth it. And I’m still not done. My current focus is to take my career to the next level in every aspect, (whether it be fame, more opportunities, etc.). I want to show the people that have supported me throughout all these years the best version of me yet.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect to me is seeing your hard work come to life and having others see it and praise it. There’s been times when I’ve had people recognize me in a commercial or in a billboard and the feeling is just amazing. Having people tell me that they saw me in different cities is amazing.

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My drive for taking my career to the next level is bigger than me. It’s making sure my loved ones are good and that I am able to provide for them, mainly financially. And also, I do this to motivate the young ones coming up, and basically letting them know that if I was able to make something out of an opportunity, that they can too in a bigger and better way than me.
