Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephany Ann
Stephany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From Unpolished to Polished: The Journey to Becoming Magnificent
“In the middle of chaos, I found the most brilliant, magnificent version of myself waiting to emerge.”
My story is one of transformation—of moving from the depths of despair to embracing a life of purpose and empowerment. After enduring two deeply toxic marriages marked by narcissistic abuse, I found myself standing in the ruins of not just my relationships, but my sense of self. The breaking point came after Hurricane Ian, when the devastation of my Florida home became a physical manifestation of the wreckage within me. It was a moment of reckoning, and I knew that just as my home needed to be rebuilt from the ground up, so did I.
I had spent years trapped in cycles of gaslighting, trauma bonds, and cognitive dissonance, unable to see a way out. But what I didn’t realize was that the storm wasn’t happening to me—it was happening for me. It forced me to confront the wreckage of my past and begin the process of clearing away the old patterns and beliefs that no longer served me. I discovered the power of imagination, persistence, and self-creation, and began to rewrite the story of my life.
Through a mentorship program with Tara Pilling and the Proctor Gallagher Institute, I immersed myself in personal development and goal-setting. I created a process that combined imagination, readiness, and release—a formula that helped me bridge the gap between my intellectual understanding and my emotional reality. I began writing my goals daily, practicing gratitude, and embodying the vision of my highest self. Slowly but surely, I transformed.
Now, as a speaker, mentor, and soon-to-be solo author, I share my story to inspire others to rewrite their own. My upcoming book is a deeply personal exploration of how we can break free from the cycles that hold us back, harness the power of our beliefs, and step into the most magnificent versions of ourselves. It’s my hope that through my journey, others will see that they, too, can become the creators of their destiny.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all—but it’s been a road of incredible transformation. My journey has been marked by deep challenges, including two toxic marriages to narcissistic partners that tested every part of my being. These relationships were filled with gaslighting, manipulation, and cycles of abuse that left me questioning my reality and, at times, my worth. The road was anything but easy; it was riddled with emotional devastation, betrayal, and moments where I didn’t know if I could find my way out.
I faced the trauma of having my sense of self eroded and rebuilt, often grappling with the cognitive dissonance of knowing something was wrong but feeling unable to escape the cycle. The devaluation and discard phases in those relationships left betrayals and scars that ran deep. Adding to this was the overwhelming responsibility of raising my children while navigating divorce proceedings, which at times felt like an extension of the abuse.
One of the most challenging moments came after Hurricane Ian destroyed my home, leaving me standing in the physical wreckage that mirrored the internal chaos I had been living with for years. It was a turning point where I realized I couldn’t keep living the way I had been. Just as my house needed to be rebuilt, I had to start from the foundation and rebuild myself.
Throughout all of this, I also struggled with societal expectations, the shame of “failed” relationships, and the exhaustion of trying to hold everything together for my children while my world crumbled around me. At times, the sheer weight of it all seemed insurmountable.
But looking back, those challenges were the friction that smoothed the person I’ve become into a brilliant diamond. The chaos forced me to dig deep, to find resilience I didn’t know I had, and to create a life I once thought was impossible. I’ve discovered that the road doesn’t have to be smooth to lead to something extraordinary. The bumps, detours, and breakdowns all have their purpose, shaping us into stronger, more empowered versions of ourselves. My challenges became my greatest teachers, and for that, I am profoundly grateful.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I help people rewrite the stories of their lives. Through my book, my membership site Rewrite the Fairytale, my podcasts, and speaking engagements, I empower individuals—particularly those who have experienced narcissistic abuse or are stuck in cycles of limiting beliefs—to reconnect with their power, rewrite their narratives, and step into the magnificent version of themselves. My work focuses on integrating intellectual understanding with subconscious programming, bridging the gap between belief and behavior, and helping people consciously create their lives.
My background is diverse—I’m an attorney, an international best-selling author, a podcaster, and a speaker. I specialize in guiding people to transform their lives by changing the paradigms that no longer serve them. My frameworks are deeply rooted in personal transformation, blending neuroscience, mindset work, and emotional integration.
What I’m most proud of is my resilience and my ability to turn my pain into purpose. I’ve taken the lessons from two toxic marriages, the aftermath of narcissistic abuse, and moments of profound loss and used them to create a process that can help others heal, grow, and thrive. Through tools like daily repetition, goal-setting, and self-image transformation, I’ve not only rewritten my own story but inspired others to do the same.
What sets me apart is my unique combination of personal experience and professional expertise. I bring the analytical precision of a lawyer, the emotional depth of someone who’s walked the path of transformation, and the creative vision of a storyteller. My approach is relatable and actionable—I’m not just telling people what to do; I’ve lived it, and I provide a step-by-step guide to help them live it too.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that we are the authors of our own lives. We don’t have to accept the stories written by our past, by society, or by others’ perceptions of us. We have the power to rewrite the fairytale, to become the star of our own story, and to create a life that is truly magnificent. That’s the mission I live by and the work I’m honored to share with the world.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
So many incredible people have supported, guided, and encouraged me along this journey, and I’m deeply grateful to each of them for the role they’ve played in my success.
Tara Pilling with the Proctor Gallagher Institute was a pivotal mentor in my life. Her mentorship through the Thinking into Results and Lead the Field programs helped me rediscover my goals and reconnect with my purpose. Tara’s guidance challenged me to dream bigger, focus on becoming the woman who was worthy of my desires, and embrace the process of conscious creation. Her ability to inspire and hold space for growth was transformative.
Heather Andrews from Get You Visible has been another incredible influence. She believed in me and encouraged me to write, share my story, and find my voice. Heather has been instrumental in helping me write my first solo book, giving me the guidance, tools, and confidence to bring this dream to life.
Rosalyn Fung, my business coach and spiritual mentor, has played a significant role in my personal and professional growth. Her mentorship has empowered me to align my business with my authentic self, connect more deeply to my purpose, and step into my power as a leader. Her spiritual guidance has been a guiding light in my journey.
Corey Poirier, founder of BLU Talks (Business, Life, Universe), has also been instrumental. His platform gave me the opportunity to share my story in a way that combined inspiration with personal authenticity. His encouragement, both as a speaker and writer, has been invaluable.
I’m also blessed to have two incredible masterminds where we support, encourage, and push each other to grow and evolve. These groups have been a safe haven for brainstorming ideas, receiving honest feedback, and celebrating each other’s wins.
Of course, my family—my In-laws, my parents, my three boys, my biggest cheerleaders—have been my reason for everything. They’ve supported me in ways they don’t even realize, giving me the drive to become the best version of myself so that I can be the mother they deserve.
Lastly, the incredible community of people who have followed my journey, from podcast hosts to readers and members of my accountability group, Rewrite the Fairytale, deserve immense gratitude. Their belief in me, their willingness to listen, and their own journeys of transformation have inspired me to keep going, to keep sharing, and to keep creating.
This journey is not a solo endeavor. Every mentor, cheerleader, and supporter has added a unique thread to the tapestry of my success, and I’m forever grateful for their role in shaping the person I’ve become and the work I’m able to do.
