Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Howell

Hi Amanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

This is truly a GOD Story! I started this company in February this year after getting released from a posiiton that no longer suited me or the company. I had always wanted to do something on my own and was told many times over the years that I need to start my own company. I am excellent at connecting others, building relationships, speaking publicly, community involvement and more. I made a joke about 7 years ago stating if I could work for myself, network, give back to the community, help others grow their businesses, and make a living doing it, I would. Well, here I am. I am living it and loving it. I leaned on my community, my relationships that I have built here over the past 3 years, my personality and my faith to build something incredible and unique.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Others may view it as smooth as they tend to only look at the success and consider it rapid success but there have definitely been struggles. Running a business isn’t easy, especially while raising a toddler. With no family nearby, it is hard to balance the ownership and management of a company as well as making sure I am a present and active mother. That has been the best part of this company. It is challenging, however; I have more time with more son. I make my schedule and I don’t miss anything. What a gift. With that comes the obligation of working harder, more hours and really pushing to be successful. Sadly, this has also has a run a massive toll on my marriage. It is hard for people to understand my commitment to my job but I am faithful in the Lord and what he has set on my heart so I know he will see me through. There are day to day challenges, scheduling, monetary and the general challenges of running a business but I enjoy them and face them head on.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?

I was a lot like I am now, honestly. I was goofy, funny and always talking and joking. I was kind of nerdy, (still am) straight a student and loved school! Nothing has changed really still a lover of animals, music, theater and fun. I was always with friends, playing, laughing and making fun of myself is probably the best way to describe it. I was resilient and stubborn – again a trait that has only intenisfied as I have matured. I have always loved serving in the community and have been active my entire life. From playing piano to softball to the marching band and basketball. I wanted to be a teacher and achieved that goal -working in schools and the Board of Education. I am just as short, just wiser. Still funny, still stubborn, still ambitious.
