Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Herzberg

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

I moved to New York City two years ago now, just me my husband and a big dream to work as a musical theater artist in New York City, and I’m proud to say that today I’m an actress, singer, dancer, choreographer, model and vocal teacher working in this incredible city

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

There’s always a struggle. It’s not an easy industry – people from literally everywhere move to this city with the same dreams as mine. The struggle is that you have to work at it all the time. Look for more auditions, more opportunities – when I first started I did jobs for free just to gain some connections and credits on my resume that were in America. That wasn’t easy – but I can say it was definitely worth it

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

So like I said, I’m an actress, singer, dancer, choreographer, model and vocal teacher. A lot of titles, I know.
I specialize in musical theater, if you can call it that. It’s the main thing I do, really.
I think what sets me apart is that I love all the aspects of this profession. It’s truly so magical to work in theater that I just feel like I can’t get enough of it.
