Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantel Quailey .
Hi Chantel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, my name is Chantel Quailey and I am the content creator behind Chantel’s Foodventures which teaches people how to make healthy plant-based meals without compromising flavor and excitement. This passion project originally started because I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle and while doing so, I realized that there are people just like me who want to live a heathier lifestyle but don’t know where to start. Chantel’s Foodventures showcases how-to cooking tutorials, easy to follow recipes, newsletters that support living a healthier lifestyle and more!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey has not been an easy road in the slightest bit. There have been plenty of times where I’ve asked myself what am I doing? Getting into content creation is very difficult yet rewarding, especially if you are like me and not used to being in front of cameras, and essentially putting part of your life on the internet. Imposture Syndrome was one of the biggest challenges I fought through daily, even while being a classically trained chef and doing what I love, I still felt like I wasn’t cut out for the job, which isn’t true. Content Creation also has a huge learning curve, so it was a bit challenging to learn how to film and edit videos, figuring out which social media platforms work best for my type of content, following the trends effectively. Etc.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a classically trained Chef who specializes in plant-based cuisine. I use my skill set to teach people how to make plant-based cuisine without compromising flavor and excitement online. I am most proud of knowing that putting myself out there on the internet is helping so many people achieve their goal of starting a healthier lifestyle. I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m personable, and that helps people feel more comfortable with listening to what I have to say and what I’m teaching.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
