Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Einar Escoto. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Einar, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
My business first started offering psychic mediumship services and it evolved over time to what it is now (intuitive coaching as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master). Prior to starting my own business, I worked with a mentor for many months honing in on my intuitive abilities. As part of my training, I was required to do free 10-minute readings for people who were NOT family members and friends. This made me extremely nervous because I was just starting to do readings for people and my confidence wasn’t there yet. Regardless, in order to complete my training, I had to start doing these readings even if I didn’t feel “ready.” I posted a flyer on my Instagram page feeling completely nervous; I was essentially “coming out” as a psychic and intuitive and I worried about how that might land. But I posted it, anyway. And I did it because I felt such a strong calling to do this work and I knew there was a Higher purpose as to why.
In hindsight, it was the best thing I could’ve done for myself. Being scared, not feeling ready, and doing it anyway just to see the success that’s been built since then is only further proof that if we take a risk and bet on ourselves, anything is possible.
After my training was complete, I had done 40 10-minute readings. When I first started my training, I didn’t anticipate that starting a business would be my next step; however, as I started doing more and more readings for people, I found that it felt so fulfilling to help others in this way. I decided to just go for it and start a business – eliminating any noise that I had to already have a logo, or a website, or even a business license. I realized I already had 40 people on my email list–the same 40 people I did free readings for. I sent an email out to everyone announcing my new business and that as a token of my gratitude for their feedback, I would grandfather them into a price point that would be much lower than my cost. It was scary sending that email because it meant what I was about to start was real and I was betting on myself in a new way that terrified me.
In response to the email, one of the people I did a reading for emailed me back saying she wanted to book me for a PAID session! I can’t explain the feeling I got reading that email. Any thoughts that I wasn’t good enough or would never make it disappeared and suddenly there was someone here who was willing to give me money for being exactly who I am. She sent me payment via Venmo and I took a screenshot of it to remember that day.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist specializing in chronic pain management and inner child healing. I am also a Reiki Master honoring the Usui lineage and an Akashic Records reader. My psychic and intuitive abilities are always at the foundation of all of my sessions; however, most of the work I do with clients is rewiring the subconscious mind in order to eliminate limiting beliefs and any self-sabotage contributing to pain (emotional, physical, spiritual, mental, financial, etc.).
I got into this industry – honestly – on accident. I started to experience a spiritual awakening and instead of resisting it, I leaned in and listened closely. I can’t fully articulate this knowing but something in me just knew that I was meant to help people as they move through their own awakenings. I decided to find a mentor and started my business without a plan – just with full and complete trust that since I was answering a “call,” it must mean everything else will get figured out for me.
4 years later, that sentiment could not be more true. My first year starting Mindsei, it was completely part-time (only spending MAYBE 2 hours a week) for half a year. I did no marketing whatsoever; all the clients that came to me were through word of mouth. In just 6 months, and maybe only working a total of 40 hours on the business that year, I made $10,000. I couldn’t believe it when I did the math while filing my taxes. With no plan and just following my heart, I made an easy $10,000 barely working. It made me realize so much more was possible if I actually put the work in. Since then, I have grown exponentially year over year. And it’s not the money I am proud of but what the money represents. The year over year growth shows me a metric of my own growth – not just as a business owner, but as a person. I firmly believe that our businesses are a reflection of who we are as business owners. The more I invested in myself, the more I saw my business effortlessly grow.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I’m trained to really listen to the way people talk about themselves and their problems. Yes, I’m the guy who helps you to get over fears getting in the way of your life but I am also the guy that helps you see the answer has been inside you all along. I believe the power structures that are set for us actually move us away from our own intuition. When I work with clients, I help them to come back home to themselves, away from the noise, away from the subliminal messaging that who they are is not enough. I’m the guy you go to when you’re ready to stop feeling so lost in your purpose and I’m the guy who helps get you there safely but expeditiously.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
In general, the coaching and intuitive industry is pretty saturated. It’s easy for that to be a reason why new business owners in the same industry can feel so frustrated when growing our clientele. We see it as competing with so many other people for the same clients we know we’d be a perfect match for. It’s also easy for this way of thinking to get in the way of our potential growth.
What helped build my reputation within my market is my complete and inner trust that whoever is supposed to work with me WILL find me – and without too much effort from me. I have trust that I have many Soul agreements and I have yet to meet a large number of people on the other end of those agreements. The clients I work with can feel that ease and it helps me to be more present in their own growth and healing.
It also helps that how I move in my personal life is also how I coach my clients: with a mentality that there is no time to waste on self-sabotage and limiting beliefs. I am completely and 100% authentic to who I am with my clients and so that means I’ve built a reputation in helping clients to heal from their trauma in short amount of times – decades of trauma released in less than 4 sessions and sometimes in just one.
What helped me build my reputation was honoring who I am – all of my parts, all of my identities, and holding accountability to myself and my own growth in order to ethically serve others.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
My best source of new clients has been from my existing clients. In the era we are in with so many ads targeting us, it’s easy to forget that sometimes simplicity goes a long way. I have a referral program for my clients and I’ve had some clients send me more than a dozen of their loved ones. Continuing to cultivate those relationships with my clients is how they continue to bring me more referrals and has been the best method for me to grow my business. I found that when I put a lot of energy in other avenues (like cold messaging, ads, etc.) I didn’t get as much return. Because the work I do is so personal, I can imagine that it would be hard for complete strangers who have never heard of me to trust me off the bat. Many of my new clients come to me because someone THEY trust has told them they CAN trust me.
