We were lucky to catch up with Carlos White recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Carlos, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Since having solidified transactional strategies are crucial to business success, one of the main pillars of my firm, Prexsentials LLC, is to democratize best-in-class transactional solutions by making these solutions affordable and accessible to all entrepreneurs and emerging companies.
From my experiences in practicing corporate law at some of the largest law firms in the U.S. and serving as an in-house lawyer at startup and emerging companies, I have noticed that having well-founded transactional strategies are oftentimes the missing link for the company to unlock its success.
Why? Well, at its core, a business is a collection of oral, written, and implied contractual transactions. Whether forming an entity, entering into a joint venture, raising capital, hiring personnel, creating and sustaining vendor or customer relationships, leasing property, acquiring or selling a business, a business must be able to navigate through a multitude of transactional issues, and subsequently finalize and formalize the outcomes of these transactional issues through contracts.
To survive and grow, business owner(s) must understand and consistently “win” each individual transaction or contract associated with the business. Unlike large, capitalized companies, startup and emerging companies can seldom afford to “miss” on their transactional strategy.
As you can imagine, startups and emerging companies that have access to first-class, legally-trained transactional strategist to help guide them and provide transactional solutions are the ones that have sustainable and scalable businesses. While, unfortunately, startups and emerging companies without competent transactional counsel, will be taken advantage of by people (like investors, customers, employees, business partners, vendors, financing companies, etc.) that have access to competent transactional counsel.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Personally, I am just a country boy from Louisiana that loves to help people, and my passions are economic development and assisting startups and emerging businesses with their sustainability and growth plans.
Professionally, I am an award-winning transactional attorney and business integrator that specializes in educating startups and emerging companies on corporate and commercial strategies as well as helping startups and emerging enterprises implement the right strategies to grow and scale their concepts through corporate, commercial, capital raising, franchising, and licensing transactions.
I have a proven record of success at the highest levels. I have been fortunate to graduate from an Ivy League law school as well as achieve the status of Law Partner at three of the largest law firms in the U.S. Also, I have served as General Counsel (or lead lawyer) at AGC Networks, Inc. an information technology company. When I joined AGC Networks, it was a start-up company based in Dallas, Texas. Fortunately, AGC Networks understood the value of transactional early in its lifecycle and incorporated various transactional strategies since their inception. During my tenure as the General Counsel, AGC Networks’ workforce expanded from 8 to 300 employees, total revenues from $0 to nearly $100 million. Today, and based on the transactional foundation built at AGC Networks, the company generates over $600 million in revenues.
Finally, due to my experience and track record in the franchising space, I have been tapped as Franchise Impact Ambassador for the City of Dallas by Mayor Eric Johnson. In this role, I lead Mayor Johnson’s first-of-its-kind initiative that showcases Dallas as a global leader in franchising and preeminent hub for creating, incubating, and scaling franchise businesses of all sizes and industries.

Have you ever had to pivot?
As I have mentioned earlier, I really do have a passion for helping startup and emerging companies grow their businesses. However, practicing at a large law firm with rates from $600 to $855 per hour is not conducive to help achieve these goals on a larger scale. Accordingly, I recently launched The-Impactor brand (www.the-impactor.com) within my firm, Prexsentials LLC.
The-Impactor brand is based on a Robin Hood-esque approach in the sense that I have been blessed to attend and graduate from one of the best business law schools in the world. I have been blessed to practice law and learn top-notch, sophisticated and innovative transactional strategies and contract drafting and negotiation techniques at some of the largest law firms in the U.S. I have been blessed to create a franchise ecosystem so innovative, that the President of International Franchise Association (“IFA”) told Mayor Johnson and me in a meeting that the IFA would like to replicate it throughout the U.S. So, now it is time for me to reduce the informational deficit and provide startups and emerging companies with access to high-quality consulting, transactional, and legal services similar to the services that large companies like Apple, Blackstone, and McDonald’s receive.
So, through The-Impactor brand I provide startups and emerging companies with access (on a dynamic, budget-conscious basis) to successful first-class transactional strategies, techniques, documents, and solutions for important transactional issues that entrepreneurs face in operating and growing their businesses… while also saving them time and thousands of dollars in professional fees. More importantly, all product and service offerings will be overseen by a Big Law Firm-proven, Top Ten law school-trained attorney. This provides a “seal of approval” that assures clients they are receiving high-caliber expertise. This guarantee sets The-Impactor brand apart from competitors in the space.
The-Impactor with its market-based mix of business, legal, and transactional strategies and solutions will help to create more success stories like AGC Networks.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Fostering brand loyalty is very simple. Always reach out to your clients/prospects for coffee, lunch, call, etc.; keep them abreast on issues that affect their business; and see how you can use your network to help them grow their businesses. You should be more than a cost center. You should be a value-add to them.
