We recently connected with Bobbi Rivers and have shared our conversation below.
Bobbi, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Aumour Kiddie Boutique was started in 2019 after I gave birth to my daughter Aumouri. I remember being a stay-at-home mom and always looking for cute little outfits and fun things to do with her. I was obsessed with dressing her up and taking pictures with her. I would be online shopping for different items and felt like it was a STRUGGLE finding what I was looking for. I wanted her to have access to clothing that was cute and casual, with a little pop to it. I thought to myself, how many other moms strive to find their kids the perfect outfit for every event, that’s comfortable and breathable.
It honestly started as a hobby that I grew to love. I don’t think many places put the same time and energy into children’s clothing as they do adult clothing, and I feel like my baby deserves nice, high-quality clothing as well.

Bobbi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Bobbi, I am the owner, and founder of Aumour Kiddie Boutique opened in 2019. Aumour Kiddie Boutique provides high-quality affordable fashion that empowers children everywhere.
We’ve designed every article of clothing to help children feel empowered, confident, and free.
Aumour Kids strive for excellence in their everyday lives. We push our children to express themselves through fashion, care for others, and be confident and empowered to change the world.
At Aumour Kiddie Boutique, we believe your child’s clothing should not just last a season. We’ve designed all styles to be ready for wear right after purchase and years beyond. Each piece is designed for rest and play, built to make your child feel comfortable all year.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I actually sell on a lot of different platforms and will be joining even more over time. I am currently listed on eBay, Etsy, and Amazon. I am currently working on being added to Wish and Miiriya.
The cons of listing on these platforms are having to pay a fee even if you are not making sales, so it is important to make sure you are prepared to invest and not see any revenue until you work up your presence on these platforms. It also takes a lot of time and monitoring. There is no way for me to link these sites to my website therefore inventory for each site is done manually to match our website.
One of the pros of being listed on all of these sites is brand awareness. I am able to get my brand out there amongst a larger crowd of people and it is global. As I work on other aspects of my business, I know that my brand is also being seen outside of just social media platforms. It’s always a great feeling when you get a sale from one of those platforms because the consumer saw your listing out of a million others and chose you. After receiving their product that customer is now more likely to find your brand on the internet.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social Media has honestly been the best way for me to build my community of parents. I have been able to find my tribe and we share parenting tips as well as fashionable ideas. I use a lot of reels to show off my products and a lot of them include my daughter who is the face behind the brand, I often time show myself as well as my fiance as well to help build trust amongst our tribe. I really think Instagram is an excellent way to network with people all over the world. It allows us to see into each other lives and create stronger bonds. We are all the same, in different location, trying to be the best parents we can be to our children
