Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rosaly Didonna. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Rosaly, appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

The name for my business, The Purifying Place, was given to me during an Akashic reading. The Akashic Records are believed to contain a vibrational archive of every soul’s journey and a reading helps you gain insight about your purpose in life and explore your soul’s deepest truths. The reading was done by my Reiki teacher during my Reiki II class training. I went into the reading with the question of, “Well, what do I do with all of this?” I had decided to learn how to do Reiki after experiencing a very transformative Reiki session, and little did I know, Reiki would open so many other gifts for me.

During the Akashic reading, as soon as I entered the Akashic Records, I could feel how frantic my energy was. After I asked my question, two light beings beamed towards me and told me, “You are not alone, You have never been alone and never will be.” They walked behind either side of me and the two of them placed one hand on each of my shoulders. As soon as they tapped my shoulders, I felt what I believe to be pure unity consciousness. It felt like the ultimate state of peace, love and oneness. I started crying as soon as it happened, because it was so beautiful and so powerful.

They told me to start a business helping others transcend what I have endured and transcended myself. I had a lot of questions, but I knew to ask them what I should name my business. They were very specific, and told me it needed to be called, “The Purifying Place.” Then, just like that, the Records were closed and they were gone. I came out of the Akashic reading still crying and in awe of what I had experienced. This was in November 2023. In May of this year, I completed my Master Reiki training, and I officially started The Purifying Place shortly after in July of 2024.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Rosaly Didonna. I have been working in the field of education for the past 12 years and have an MA in Education. Currently, I am an elementary school teacher who teaches 3rd and 4th graders reading and writing at a trauma-informed public charter school that serves all students, especially those experiencing homelessness or those in the foster care system. Throughout my years of training and experience as a teacher, I understand the importance of nurturing all aspects of a whole child/person (social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual). Knowing this, I see a deep need for spiritual nurturance across the world for children and adults alike.

I recently founded, The Purifying Place, a soul-led business where my mission is to help people live in full alignment with their soul’s purpose and calling, so that they can experience a more meaningful life. Through my own experiences and my training and knowledge of Reiki, Human Design, Oracle Sound Alchemy, and Spiritual Life Coaching, I offer Reiki and sound healing treatments, Human Design readings and consultations, and 1:1 Spiritual Life Coaching sessions. I have also done collaborations with other spiritual facilitators in the form of group workshops, guided meditations and sound baths to serve our greater community. I help people connect to the deepest truth of who they are, which helps empower them to get clear on their values, desires and what truly matters most to them, so that they can live their life as an expression of who they are at a soul level (bringing more joy, more meaning, true purpose and deeper connections).

I help my clients solve the problem of being “successful,” but feeling like something is missing at a deeper level. Some clients may not know what it is they are missing and yearning for, while some know what it is, and need help aligning their lives with that new vision. I help clients who may be feeling bored or unfulfilled, wake up to a new life where they are excited to get up in the morning and live out why they were placed here on this Earth. I help clients go from saying yes to everything and feeling bitter because they have compromised their values, to exercising saying no and accepting only full body yesses that bring more abundance, joy, and fun into their worlds. My clients experience the feeling of empowerment when I help them move through any energetic blockages they may have due to conditioning from their environment (societal, cultural, familial, economical, etc.). These blockages may show up in their lives as limiting beliefs, self-sabotage, freezing, explaining why certain things are “just not for me,” and so on which keeps them from unapologetically living their lives on their own terms. By guiding my clients through this purifying process of deconditioning (using Reiki and sound healing, spiritual coaching, guided meditations and more), they are able to discover the truth of they are and who we all are at our core. From this place, they can intentionally be the creator of their lives.

What sets The Purifying Place apart from other businesses is that we are embodied in our beliefs and what we are helping others cultivate in their own lives. We operate from a heart-centered space and act with pure intentions of uplifting others and expanding consciousness for those seeking the truth and their own truth. We hold deep reverence for each of our clients and empower them to realize all of their answers lie within. We hold sacred space for our clients to experience the truth of who they are without judgment, only awareness. We are the facilitators and witnesses of your imminent transformation.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

My daughter was born at 23 weeks 6 days at the beginning of the pandemic in May 2020. I was admitted to the hospital because of my water spontaneously breaking at 22 weeks. Doctors gave my husband and I statistics (20 percent survive at this stage, and of those, 30 percent survive without moderate to severe disability) and reasons why my daughter would either A) not make it out alive or B) survive, but have serious ailments like needing a breathing machine, being blind, needing heart surgery, having cerebral palsy, etc. In the case that it was B, she would have at least one, more likely two, or more illnesses that she would have to deal with for the rest of her life. They gave us the option to terminate our pregnancy.

Despite the very low odds of our daughter making it out alive and well, I knew I had to give it my all. The head doctor of the NICU asked me to confirm that we wanted full resuscitation for our daughter when it was time to go into labor. My husband and I confirmed, “Yes.” Many months later, I would be taught that this was not only my daughter’s resuscitation… it was also my resurrection into a new way of life and a new way of being.

After being brought back to life, my daughter was in the NICU for five months. It was the most painful experience of my life. A few days after giving birth to her, I had to leave the hospital without her. It felt like a dagger had gone through my heart. I experienced so much guilt, pain and suffering. That night, going to bed, I was spiraling into a state of darkness and hopelessness, full of fear and debilitating worry.

I still remember laying there in bed, awake and not being able to sleep. It was during the night, I heard a voice. I say I heard a voice, but it was more like a knowing that came to me. It said loudly and clearly, “Lily will rise from this, just like her name says, Lily Rose.”

We had named our daughter months before she was born. Lily after my favorite flower and my husband’s mother Liliana, and Rose for a part of my name which is Rosaly. As quickly as “the voice” came in the night, it was gone, but the message resonated with me long after. Still, even to this day, I feel the power and certainty behind those words that guided me through the most difficult five months of my life. It became my mantra.

Every time I replayed the words I heard, “Lily will rise from this, just like her name says, Lily Rose,” I was able to endure, persevere, and have faith through any challenge that came up (and there were many) during my daughter’s five-month stay in the NICU. I knew and felt the truth of those words and chose to interact with my daughter as if she was already whole, already healthy, and already fully loved, because she was and still is. The rollercoaster of the NICU brought so many tears, fears and endless worry, but it also instilled strength, hope, and gratitude, along with endless amounts of love. I thought my heart was being broken, but it was actually being broken open and expanded. A whole new level of love was able to pour in and be experienced from that vulnerable place in my heart.

My daughter is now 4.5 years old. Most people who come into contact with her, do not know what she had to overcome to arrive here. She is a completely healthy, whole and fully loved human being. The process of becoming her mother is what purified me and made me whole again. Her birth was the catalyst for my own inner healing journey that continued years after she was born and is what eventually led me to create The Purifying Place.

Have you ever had to pivot?

There have been many times in my life where I have had to pivot. Whether it was quitting what I thought was going to be my dream job, leaving a person I thought I was going to marry, or failing in school, I realize all of these situations and others like it have taught me to have faith, surrender, and trust in the process of what is being revealed to me. I live in gratitude knowing I am fully loved, protected, and that I have the will to choose whatever path is placed in my heart. These experiences have fortified me and continue to make me stronger, wiser and more courageous in the process of being who I truly am.
