We recently connected with Brandon Threats and have shared our conversation below.
Brandon , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The mission I have for my business is to bring awareness to the fact that you can manifest any goal or desire you have in life because your thoughts and feelings shape your reality through the Law of Attraction.
Thoughts are generated by electrical impulses in the brain. For example, when you think about a goal, like achieving success, your brain’s electrical activity creates a mental blueprint for action. Feelings and emotion on the other hand are magnetic energy. For example, feeling gratitude or love can attract positive experiences, while fear or anger may draw negative ones.
Together they create the thought-emotion connection, which this concept supports the idea that thoughts and emotions together create reality. Thoughts (electricity) set the intention, and emotions (magnetism) draw the desired outcome. Positive thoughts paired with aligned emotions can amplify success, whereas conflicting thoughts and feelings like worry, doubt, and fear may create resistance.
This is why it is so important to control your thoughts and emotions when going after your goals, because it ultimately shapes your reality. Since learning this concept, I have used it to build a successful business and have helped many athletes reach goals they thought were simply out of reach. Anything the mind can conceive, and believe, it can achieve.

Brandon , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I grew up playing football, basketball, and I ran track. I ended up standing out more in track by being a High School All-American and multiple time State Champion, and from there competed on the Division I level at DePaul University.
Like many athletes across the country, due to battling injuries throughout my entire college career, I never got a chance to reach my full potential. However, with the passion still there to become the best version of myself athletically, and with the help of a little divine intervention, I met a professional track coach through a simple Uber ride. Within six months, I moved across the country to embark on a childhood dream to compete professionally in the sport of track and field, and with the hopes of competing at the 2020 Olympics trials.
Right away, my new coach explained to me the reason I kept getting injured was simply due to my lack of proper running technique. Almost feeling like having to learn how to walk again, I pushed myself for years trying to perfect the proper running technique. I became a student all over again, as I spent countless hours studying the anatomy of the human body and how it relates to sprinting. As my speed started to increase drastically, and with the Olympic Standard now in sight, I moved back to Dallas in January of 2020 to compete in track meets, not knowing within three months my life’s trajectory would be changing due to one word – Covid.
As everybody was during this time, I wasn’t quite sure of the direction I wanted to take, when suddenly my father reached out to me about an NFL trainer that he had met that was looking for a speed coach. I connected with the NFL trainer, and he started to bring me around athletes of all ages including professionals to help them increase their speed. At that moment, I realized that there were so many other sports that needed help with speed development and my new knowledge and wisdom could help make an impact on sports performance overall.
After debating whether I should continue pursuing my dreams of the Olympics or go right into coaching, I chose the latter and immediately started my own business “‘Meraki Speed” teaching speed development across the country and globally as well. Since I have started coaching, I have helped train Olympians, NFL athletes, WNBA athletes, NCAA champions, High School All-Americans, State Champions and more. I would now consider myself a biomechanics specialist, as I specialize in correcting and enhancing sprinting mechanics.
When I look back, I am so proud of my journey. I know that I have a long way to go, but I am far from where I started. It is a testament to go after your dreams and keep a positive mindset because anything is possible.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2020, I created my first business page on Instagram in hopes to spread my newfound knowledge on speed development. Video after video, I shared many speed development tips to my audience, however, I would never speak in any of my videos. Instead, I would write long captions breaking down the videos, or I would just demonstrate the different exercises that could help with increasing speed. I can honestly admit, I was very nervous to share my voice. As my following grew more and more, the voice inside me would get quieter and quieter. Something inside me was holding myself back.
It was now 2023, I was almost at 30k followers, and none of my followers ever heard me speak. Every time I thought about speaking and showing my personality though I would back out. When suddenly, my Instagram got hacked and I was threatened that if I did pay the hacker $500 that my Instagram would get deleted. Not giving in to the threat, years of my work and connections went down the drain. It felt as though I had created a masterpiece, and someone came along and knocked it over. I was devastated.
Almost wanting to give up, I remembered this quote from the book “Outwitting the Devil” that said, “Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.” I knew what I had to do. I had to put myself out there, and show the world who I am. That day I started a new Instagram page, and later that week I took new videos, but this time of me actually speaking and teaching. In one video, I went from 40 followers to 4000 followers. It was almost like a nudge from the Universe that I was on the right track. A year later I am back at almost 20k followers, which took me 3 years to do previously. It is a true testament to my resilience and not giving up.
I learned that when you are on the journey to success, the highest frequency you can emit is authenticity. You must be willing to show up as yourself and speak your truth without the care of what other people think or believe. I learned a valuable lesson in this, and I hope to share it with you, and it is that “the cave you fear to enter, may hold the treasure you dear to seek.”

How did you build your audience on social media?
In today’s day, most people only post on social media for the dopamine release they receive. They love the flashing icon that pops up when they receive a like, a comment, or a follow. They are only posting for themselves and the attention that they would like to receive. However, it is important to remember the essential life principle that “you must give in order to receive.” You must ask yourself what are you doing to serve humanity? Is it information? Motivation? Hope? Wisdom? Or are you just posting for the “likes” and attention?
I have built my Instagram by my intention to truly help. I saw that there were many individuals across the planet in need of guidance, wisdom, and knowledge in the field of speed development and I have made it a mission to truly help. I look for the most popular questions that are asked, and I give a piece of myself into my work to help. I have generated tens of thousands of followers by sharing my knowledge. It is so important that you have the mindset to give first, and in doing so, you’ll attract attention and gather an audience effortlessly.
