We were lucky to catch up with Breaja Morgan recently and have shared our conversation below.
BreAja, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
My most meaningful project that I’ve done was walking in Paris Fashion Week. I never wouldv’e imagined myself being able to say that I accomplished something like that, even when I still say it today, it doesn’t feel real sometimes. I made the decision a week before I had to leave to go to Paris, so it was a very short notice for me but one of the best decisions. It made me realize that I can really go further with my modeling career.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi! My name is BreAja Morgan! I am from Ohio and I started my modeling career in 2021. I started just by doing shoots with my local photographer, KJ Statema Photography, and after that I realized I enjoy being in front of the camera and wanted to take it serious. I started off with walking in LAFW, then eventually worked myself up to walking in NYFW, meeting with agencies, and ended up in Paris! I’m most proud of how far I keep going. This industry can be tough and very competitive but I don’t let it get to me and keep going.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me the most rewarding part of being a model is meeting so many different people. I’ve met so many of my friends from different states, countries even, and they’ve turned out to be some of the most genuine people I’ve met. There can be shady people in this industry but I’ve been blessed by meeting people who just want to help each other and uplift one another.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The goal that is driving my journey is just to be happy and be able to provide stability for my family. I never get too comfortable because I can always push for more and better. I want to be able to make this my full time career and be able to provide for my family and myself. In the end I want to be financially stable and happy.
