We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brittany Sinn. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brittany below.
Brittany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
As a single mom of two girls, legacy is something I think about often. It’s deeply ingrained in everything that I do and continues to drive me forward. I want to build a legacy of resilience. I want to be known- not just by others, but most importantly by my daughters- as a woman who never quit, who believed in her dreams, and accomplished them.
That is why at 21 years old, two weeks before my oldest daughter was born, I made the decision to finish high school. It’s why six months later I chose to enroll in college, completing my bachelor’s degree four years later. I did this not only to set an example for my daughters, but to equip myself with the tools to fulfill my own dreams- even if I didn’t know what they were at the time.
There have been times when I stopped dreaming, times when it took everything I had just to make it from one day to the next. That is where resilience comes in. My mantra has always been: You win when you just don’t quit. That is what I want to be remembered for. Even when my dreams felt out of reach, even when I thought I couldn’t make it another day, even when I wanted to give up- I didn’t quit.

Brittany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve always been passionate about the beauty industry, so at 17 years old I decided to enroll in cosmetology school. Over the years, that passion has taken me on a pretty incredible journey. I earned a degree in Business Administration along the way, thinking I might take a different path, but I couldn’t leave my passion for the beauty industry behind.
Now, as a Master Hair Stylist, Makeup Artist, and Educator, I’ve built a career doing what I love most- hair, makeup, and sharing my knowledge with others. I’ve had the opportunity to do hair and makeup for television appearances, high-profile events, and iconic shows like New York and Paris Fashion Week.
What I’m most proud of is being able to combine my technical skills with creativity to make people feel confident on some of life’s biggest days. Whether I’m styling clients or teaching other professionals, I always aim to bring my best while challenging myself to keep growing. This career has given me so much, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What has helped build my reputation within my market, I believe, is consistency. By consistently delivering exceptional work, you not only stand out but also build trust with your clients. They come back and refer others because they know they can rely on you. As creatives, it’s easy to overlook the systems that ensure consistency. However, having clear processes in place- knowing what we’re doing and why we’re doing it- helps us deliver reliable results every time and maintain that trust.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative, is the constant opportunity to learn and grow. The beauty industry is always evolving with trends that change rather quickly. As a hairstylist and makeup artist, this drives me to continually refine my craft so I can offer on-trend looks that not only keep my work current but also make my clients feel more confident. The challenge of mastering new techniques and ensuring my clients leave feeling their best is what keeps me inspired and motivated.
