We recently connected with Anna Astarte and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I’ve taken was leaving my stable career as a manager to pursue my passion for trichology. For seven years, I struggled with damaged hair after bleaching it blonde. No treatments or products seemed to work, and I was frustrated and curious about why nothing helped.
This led me to start learning about hair health, and the more I studied, the more I fell in love with trichology. I realized that I wanted to help others who were struggling with the same issues.
Leaving a secure job wasn’t easy, but I decided to invest all my savings, energy, and time into studying trichology and starting my own business. I opened my own office, where I could fully dedicate myself to helping people restore not only their hair but also their confidence.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a hair restoration specialist and trichology expert, dedicated to helping people achieve healthy, beautiful hair and scalp. In my work, I use only natural, vegan products and avoid invasive methods such as injections, chemical treatments, or hair transplants. Instead, I rely on the best trichological products from Europe, carefully selected to deliver effective and safe results for my clients.
What makes my approach unique is the combination of high-quality products and personalized care. I take the time to understand each client’s individual needs and develop customized solutions to address their specific concerns, whether it’s hair thinning, scalp irritation, or damaged hair. My goal is not just to restore hair but to enhance overall confidence and well-being.
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me and the transformations they experience. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how improving the health of their hair can positively impact their self-esteem and outlook on life.
For anyone considering working with me, I want them to know that I am deeply passionate about what I do. I believe in a holistic, natural approach to hair restoration, and I am committed to creating a supportive, professional environment where every client feels valued and cared for.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my reputation within the market was built on a foundation of trust, expertise, and genuine care for my clients. I always prioritize delivering real results and educating my clients about the process. This transparency and dedication create long-lasting relationships and positive word-of-mouth.
Another key factor is my personalized approach. Every client’s hair and scalp are unique, and I take the time to deeply understand their concerns and goals. By providing tailored solutions, I’ve earned the trust of clients who value both effectiveness and safety.
Consistency has also played a significant role. I’m committed to maintaining the highest standards in my work, staying up to date with the latest advancements in trichology, and continuously improving my skills to provide the best possible care.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn was trusting verbal agreements in business, especially when working with friends or acquaintances. Early in my career, I believed that close relationships could replace formal contracts or agreements. Unfortunately, this approach led to misunderstandings and unnecessary complications.
I learned the hard way that even in situations where trust seems implicit, it’s crucial to have everything in writing and handle all partnerships and agreements officially. Whether it’s starting a business with a friend or subleasing a space, formal contracts protect everyone involved and ensure clarity and professionalism.
This lesson taught me the importance of clear communication and establishing boundaries in business, no matter how close or familiar the relationship. Since then, I’ve made it a priority to always operate with transparency and professionalism, which has greatly contributed to my growth and success.
