We recently connected with Daizy Lopez and have shared our conversation below.
Daizy , appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Since as long as I can remember I’ve always been a lover of the fashion world. I would constantly change my outfits, cut up my clothing, and mix match my whole wardrobe (no matter anyone else’s opinions). I’ve always expressed myself through the pieces I wear on my body!
The idea of starting up my fashion brand, “Espíritu Libre” (Free-Spirit in Spanish) came simply from creating unique and bold-colored garments for myself which then evolved to making similar pieces for my peers, and blossomed into having constant customers who adored the designs as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My creative process is very genuine to me: as a lover of bright colors and gold jewelry, I decided to set my whole brand around the fusion of these two things! Every piece is handmade (con mucho amor). I want everyone wearing Espíritu Libre to feel their most ethereal self. I call my models and supporters of the brand “diosas” (goddesses) because that’s exactly how they should feel when wearing the dreamy velvet fabrics…
I felt like by sharing my unique designs with the world it would create an innovative approach to the fashion realm. It’s the jewelry x clothing fusion you never knew you needed! It’s a beautiful thing to see powerful women feeling confident in their everyday lives wearing my pieces and embracing their divine feminine <3

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience on social media (specifically Instagram) was quite simple, but extremely effective! It meant being 100% transparent + open to speak on my designs in a way that others can understand. Not only am I very open about the material and quality of my pieces, but I’m also always showing different ways to style Espíritu Libre pieces so my audience can fully connect/engage!
My advice would be, stay genuine with your online presence. Of course it’s a professional business but don’t be afraid to show some humanness behind it all as well! As a designer, building strong relationships with your supporters is key – that relatability can set you apart from another business.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
For myself and my fashion brand, Espíritu Libre, I’m constantly checking in on my previous customers and seeing how my pieces are working for them even after the initial purchase. I love to hear how my supporters are styling/using/creating with my art! It’s a beautiful thing to keep an open relationship with everyone who’s supported my brand! Their loyalty to purchase again comes from the special bond I create with each person individually. I’m forever grateful for the love and support my community has shown me… may the opportunities continue to manifest!!
