I love this trend because it aligns perfectly with what UGC creators excel at: showcasing products in an organic and trustworthy way. It’s also a win-win—brands get genuine content, and creators have the freedom to express their individuality. To me, this shift is a powerful reminder that connecting with an audience starts with being real.
A great example is when I worked on a campaign for a skincare brand launching a new moisturizer. Instead of shooting in a perfectly lit studio, I filmed a quick video in my bathroom during my morning routine, showing my real skin and chatting casually about how it felt to use the product.
To my surprise, the brand loved the unfiltered, relatable vibe and shared it across their channels. The audience’s response was overwhelming—comments flooded in about how refreshing it was to see skincare content that felt “real” and “attainable.”
