Alright, Relentless thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I feel like both making music and designing both came naturally. When I was a kid, I always had music playing in my head. When I listened to music, it was like I could “process” music from the instruments used to the drum patterns of the songs. With designing, I’ve always had an artistic mind and gravitated towards drawing comic book like figures. I would start drawings and wouldn’t finish them for a few days because I was always adding details. I felt I was striving for “the perfect masterpiece”.
Relentless , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started teaching myself how to record tracks and produce beats in the 2010s but didn’t really take it seriously until 2022. Thats when I started going by Relentless Jay and releasing my own songs. I also started designing my own merch Relentless Hustle around the same time. My music and merch are based around my ambitious lifestyle to inspire others to go hard and stay relentless.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I think the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is being to draw emotions from an audience based off my creations. It’s the feeling to have someone compliment something you invested time, effort and emotion into. It’s even more rewarding when multiple people can share a mutual feeling about my content or product.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My ultimate goal is to is to motivate and inspire others to just keep going no matter what you are going through. I have a saying that goes, “even when it’s bad, it’s still good. We have so much to be thankful for so we just have to acknowledge that and keep pushing.
