We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Savannah Robertson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Savannah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission of Love Your Body Now is to empower women to heal their relationship with their bodies and build confidence from within. This mission was inspired by my experience working in the fitness industry as a health coach, guiding countless women on their health journeys. What stood out to me was a recurring theme: many women were pursuing health and fitness from a place of self-hatred rather than self-love.
I deeply resonated with this because, from a young age, I struggled with low self-esteem and a negative perception of my own body. It wasn’t until I went on my own healing journey that I discovered a transformative truth: loving your body is a choice. We can take care of our bodies and pursue health from a place of love rather than the harmful narratives society and diet culture have ingrained in us.
So many of us spend years criticizing ourselves, feeling unworthy, and holding back from living authentically. I want to change that for women everywhere. I want to show them that choosing to love your body and yourself is one of the most powerful decisions you can make. It leads to greater confidence, freedom, and the ability to show up fully as your authentic self. When women embrace this mindset, they not only improve their own lives but also inspire a ripple effect of positivity that makes the world a better, happier place.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I never imagined myself starting a clothing brand. While I’ve always been a creative person, I never thought I could build a career around that creativity. My background was rooted in sports and fitness, so pursuing a career in that field felt like the natural path.
When I was coaching, though, I noticed that most women came to me because they didn’t like their bodies and wanted to change them. While some women started shifting toward a more positive mindset during our time together, I still felt like I wasn’t making the deep impact I truly wanted. I eventually stepped back from coaching altogether and started a health podcast instead, where I could openly discuss diet culture, body image struggles, and my own healing journey.
At some point, I designed a few shirts that reflected the messages I was sharing on the podcast. What started as a side passion—just something fun—evolved into something far more meaningful. I realized how much this brand meant to me and how rare it was to find a clothing line that represented body image, health, and self-healing all coming together.
It’s such an incredible feeling when someone tags me in their stories wearing our apparel. Not only is it surreal to see people proudly wearing something I designed, but it’s also powerful to think of them as walking billboards for the mission. Maybe someone in their life, or even a stranger on the street, will see the message and be introduced to the idea that loving our bodies and ourselves is possible—and that it’s worth pursuing.
The community that has grown around this mission has been so inspiring, and I’m deeply committed to growing it even further. Right now, my focus is on giving our apparel more exposure, but I’m also planning in-person events for 2025. I’ll be moving back to my hometown, and I can’t wait to give back to the community that shaped me. This brand represents something I wish I had when I was growing up, and I’m so excited to bring it to life for others.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
The business I have now didn’t start out this way. For 2.5 years, I worked as a health and fitness coach. While I loved helping women on their journeys, I eventually realized it no longer felt aligned with who I was becoming. Stepping away wasn’t an easy decision—I remember feeling lost and frustrated. But I also knew it didn’t make sense to keep doing something I wasn’t excited about, even if I didn’t have all the answers for what was next.
That period of uncertainty became a time for deep self-healing and discovery. I decided to embrace the unknown, taking things one step at a time, and focusing on pouring back into myself. That intentional focus on inner healing brought me the clarity I needed to uncover what I’m truly meant to be doing.
Looking back, I realize that season of uncertainty was necessary. It taught me invaluable lessons and shaped the mission I now share with others. I firmly believe I had to go through that experience myself to be able to help others on their own journeys of self-discovery and healing. It’s become the foundation of everything my brand stands for today.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Two books that have profoundly impacted my life are Lady Balls by Mina Irfan and A Happy Pocket Full of Money by David Gikandi. While they’ve certainly influenced my entrepreneurial journey, their biggest impact has been on my self-discovery journey. These books taught me lessons that no other resource has: the undeniable connection between your mindset and the outcomes in your life.
The most important realization I’ve had is that your entrepreneurial or business journey will only go as far as your daily thoughts allow it to. If your mind is in chaos or fixated on what isn’t working, those negative outcomes are exactly what you’ll attract. But when you focus on the positives and truly believe that everything is working in your favor, that belief becomes your reality.
Our thoughts are far more powerful than we often realize. Shifting my mindset and embracing the lessons from these books has transformed how I approach both my business and my personal growth. It’s a lesson I carry with me every day.
