We recently connected with Shiloh Wilde and have shared our conversation below.
Shiloh , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business
Becoming a shop owner, I hardly expected to get any orders outside of the country due to the shipping cost.
At the start of my business, I got an order from the UK for a custom rosary. When I saw the amount they paid for shipping, my jaw dropped. It was well for $70, for a rosary that costed $20.
That made my whole month, I never thought people would care that much for my work that they would be willing to pay an arm and a leg for something.

Shiloh , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I run a sustainable and natural based business. I make body products but also religious ones, to dive into my own personal beliefs.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I use Etsy as my shop profile. It has its cons, such as having to pay for each listing, and the taxes when someone buys something. However, the pros overlap the cons. Etsy is really easy to get the hang of, and it even did free ads for my products on Facebook in the past.
The seller app is super easy and helps me contact with clients while also protecting their privacy.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I’m a massive peoples pleaser, so running a small business made that show even more. I would go to hell and back to make one customer happy, even when it would screw me over.
I had to learn that I can’t financially afford to do refunds if people are upset “It came 1 day late.”
