Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Trishanna Cohen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Trishanna , thanks for joining us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your career and how did you resolve those issues?
I have faced so many things throughout exploring my creative journey. Problems such as the pandemic, finding out a tumor/cyst was in my ovary , having to move, loss of loved ones. This year actually I faced one of the most traumatic and troubling problem in my life. It broke me, made me not have the energy to continue in my craft. It’s actually something im still feeling the pain of currently. I wish I could go in depth as I like but I will say life is so unfair. Having to face and deal with things you’ve never thought of or could possibly happen to you. It took a lot for me to push through. I resolved with a great support system behind me. Helping me realize the strength I have inside. Speaking life into me when I didn’t even want my life. It took discipline. Making my craft more than a want for myself but also a necessity. I needed something to live for. So I continued and the more I did the more I felt I was contributing to the me I’ve always wanted little me to look up to.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hiii reader, my name is Trishanna and I am a model, brand ambassador and also influencer. I got into the model industry after a friend of mine named Brittany with her own holistic benefit business called Soulful Healing Market asked me to create a choreography for her poetry book release. I am a choreographer as well. A few weeks before the release she texted and asked me to be a model for the release as well and I told her ,” a model?? lol I know nothing about being a model. I’m not even photogenic “. She saw something in me that I never knew existed. Once that happened I became a brand ambassador for her company. The pandemic came and I ended up being an ambassador for more small owned businesses. The pandemic started allowing things to open back up and that’s when I saw that our yearly Newburgh Illuminated Festival has a fashion show. I was encouraged to try out without a knowledge on runway walking and only the one photoshoot I ever did. Walking in that show started it all with help of model Coaches Jay and Jazmin I gained amazing skills. I even ended up in a commercial for the festival. That day opened doors for me that have continued to open by building me strong foundations and friendships with photographers Sabrina and Jorge who have helped build my portfolio through the years. I’m also now a brand ambassador for Sabrina’s magazine HVCHARM. Building foundations with designers such as Glenny of Estilo Muneca Boutique and Kenyatta of Attallah Drip. I’m currently a model, brand ambassador and influencer for both of Glenny’s businesses. Once I did the Newburgh Illuminated Festival my career in modeling took off to a height I never expected . Fast forward today I am now a signed model of Thee Rebel Agency which is founded by Jay Alexander whom is one of the model coaches I met during illuminated who helped instill the confidence I have now for my craft.
I provide creative works of showcasing what one’s business has to offer. I help reel in more clients who want the clothes you have to offer.
I feel what sets me apart from other models, brand ambassadors and influencers is that I look at the product and businesses more than a job. I view it as if it is mine as well. I listen to what is wanted and needed and bring in my passion and love of modeling then create.
I’m proud that I have managed to stay strong through the trials and tribulations faced on me during my creative journey and mold it into my art.
I want potential clients to know that I am not perfect. I will never say im perfect. I am as imperfect as can be , but that’s the beauty of it. Art and creation is most beautiful when broken. I will always deliver the most beautiful work you need and that your heart desires.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Keyword is exactly that. Support . A like doesn’t hurt you and a share doesn’t hurt you as well. Society doesn’t support the ones closest to them enough as well. Us creatives need the likes, the shares , the comments in order to thrive and grow in our careers.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to tell my story through my work. Sometimes words aren’t enough to express the pain faced after going through things , but when I’m in front of the camera . My poses and the outcome of my work speaks for itself.
