We were lucky to catch up with Sunaina Sharma recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sunaina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’m currently working on is podcasting with friends and people I meet through Instagram, where we discuss life and relationships. It’s been such an amazing journey because it’s not just about learning from others; it’s also been a way for me to learn more about myself and the relationships in my life. What makes it especially meaningful is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives through coaching, whether it’s my friends or podcast guests, by offering insights and guidance about their personal relationships.
My background in teaching has really helped me connect with people on a deeper, more personal level. It’s allowed me to create a space where listeners and guests feel comfortable being vulnerable, sharing their experiences, and reflecting on how they can improve their relationships. Watching people take small steps toward healthier, more positive relationships is incredibly rewarding. The conversations feel more like genuine connections, not just interviews, and that’s why it’s so fulfilling to me.

Sunaina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m deeply passionate about helping people navigate the complexities of life and relationships. My journey began in education, where I worked as a teacher and developed strong skills in communication, empathy, and breaking down complex concepts. Over time, I realized I wanted to connect with people on a more personal level, especially when it came to relationships. This led me to start my podcast, where I have open, honest conversations with friends and people I meet online about life, self-growth, and relationships. These discussions have shown me that when we have stronger, happier relationships, we’re in a better position to master all other areas of life—whether it’s career, personal goals, or overall happiness.
Through my podcast and coaching, I create a space for people to reflect, learn, and grow. I combine my teaching background with emotional insight to guide individuals toward healthier relationships and a positive mindset. My approach focuses on practical tools like communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution, helping people break free from old patterns and create lasting change. What sets me apart is my ability to meet people where they are and tailor strategies to their unique journeys. My work isn’t just about advice; it’s about empowering people to unlock their full potential through better relationships. Ultimately, I believe that by nurturing healthier connections, we can tackle any challenge in life with a positive mindset and the strength to overcome anything.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was being judgmental. Growing up in a strict Indian background, there were a lot of deeply ingrained beliefs and expectations about how people should behave, what’s “right” or “wrong,” and how life should unfold. It created this lens through which I often judged myself and others. I was wired to think in very black-and-white terms, believing there was only one correct way to approach life and relationships.
But as I grew older and began meeting people from different walks of life, I realized that there’s so much more to every individual’s story. I began to challenge my own assumptions and opened my mind to the idea that people have diverse experiences, values, and perspectives that make them who they are. This shift has been incredibly freeing, and I’ve found that embracing an open-minded, non-judgmental approach has made me a more compassionate and understanding person. It’s not always easy to unlearn something that’s been so deeply ingrained, but the freedom and growth that come from being more open-minded have been life-changing.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
One resource that profoundly impacted my entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy during the pandemic was the work of Louise Hay. I immersed myself in her teachings, particularly her 101 Power Thoughts audio series. Louise Hay’s focus on positive self-talk, affirmations, and the importance of self-love truly transformed my mindset. She taught me that the language we use with ourselves shapes our reality, and by shifting to a more positive, empowering narrative, we can change the course of our lives.
This idea of focusing on gratitude was a game-changer for me. Every day, I make it a practice to look up at the sky and express my gratitude to the universe. Her work reinforced the concept that the universe listens when we show appreciation, and that mindset has been key not just in my personal life, but also in my approach to business. The more I focused on positive thinking and being grateful, the more opportunities and success I noticed flowing into my life. Louise Hay’s teachings have helped me develop a mindset rooted in trust, positivity, and appreciation, which I believe is essential for both personal growth and entrepreneurial success.
