We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pharoah T.k.e Harrington. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pharoah T.K.E below.
Hi Pharoah T.K.E, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
I say the biggest challenge to profitability in my industry is keeping the audience engaged. A lot of people would say its not hard to keep attention but no one knows the work put in to keeping an audience engaged. I grew up in the late 90’s and early 2000’s so storytelling is a big thing so there was a lot of slow burners within film, books and television. Today with certain groups of audiences, an idea has to be entertaining enough within the first 5 pages or 10 minutes of any Show or film for the audiences to stay engaged. Most people would say that originality is the key but everything isn’t original, its a copy of something you just don’t see or have heard of in a while or at all. Example is Indiana Jones franchise and The Mummy franchise. Look at Raiders of the Lost Ark, It took Indy about 20 minutes to go steal a treasure, get chased by a bolder and a Endangered tribe where in the Mummy The film drops you into everything that’s happening or about to happen. There is a film for every audience but keeping them engaged is probably the toughest.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
About Me and How I Got Into My Craft
I am a writer, actor, producer, and screenwriting consultant with a passion for storytelling in its many forms, from scripts to short films to gaming content. My journey into the creative industry began with a love for bringing stories to life, starting with acting in the web series D.O.A: Diary of an Assassin in 2014. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills both behind and in front of the camera, contributing to various creative projects like Ethel Takes a Stand and leading the charge on shorts showcased at festivals, including LOOTERS through AK Film Group, which I co-created.
What I Create and Problems I Solve
As the co-creator of AK Film Group and a video game streamer on The Blk Box, I craft engaging short films, proof-of-concept scripts, and gaming content that entertain and inspire. Additionally, as a screenwriting consultant, I help others tell their stories, providing guidance and feedback similar to what the fictional character Hitch does for relationships—except in this case, I focus on narratives. I collaborate with writers to refine their ideas, strengthen their scripts, and bring their creative visions to life. Through my work, I address the need for representation, originality, and effective storytelling in film and media.
What Sets Me Apart
What distinguishes my work is the fusion of unique influences—melding the cinematic quality of Jason Bourne with the stylized action of anime and the grounded urban realism of everyday life. My consulting work sets me apart as well; I take pride in understanding a writer’s vision and helping them tell authentic, impactful stories. My projects often tackle unexpected themes with a creative twist, such as the romantic yet action-packed Sugar Code or the culturally rich Ember. Additionally, my hands-on experience in multiple facets of production gives me a deep understanding of storytelling from multiple perspectives.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m most proud of seeing my work resonate with audiences at film festivals and on platforms like AK Film Group’s YouTube channel. The recognition of LOOTERS at esteemed festivals highlights the strength of our storytelling and production quality. Equally rewarding is helping other writers develop scripts that they are proud of, knowing I played a part in shaping stories that move people.
What I Want People to Know
My brand represents passion, originality, and a commitment to elevating underrepresented voices and stories in film and media. Whether it’s through an intense anime-inspired action sequence, a heartfelt romantic narrative, or empowering a writer to tell their story, my goal is to connect with audiences on a deep level and leave a lasting impact.
For anyone seeking a collaborator who values innovation and authenticity, or a screenwriting consultant who can help refine and elevate your story, I’m always eager to bring unique visions to life.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
At the core of my creative journey is a mission to tell meaningful, original, and impactful stories that resonate with diverse audiences. My goal is to elevate underrepresented voices and perspectives, crafting narratives that inspire, challenge, and entertain. Whether I’m writing a script, consulting with other writers, or producing content through AK Film Group, I strive to bring authenticity and innovation to every project.
I’m passionate about creating stories that blend genres, explore complex characters, and connect deeply with audiences. My mission is to show that storytelling can be both a form of escapism and a tool for reflection, helping people see themselves or new possibilities through the lens of film and media.
Ultimately, I want my work to leave a legacy—not just as entertainment but as a catalyst for creativity, connection, and change. I’m driven by the belief that every story matters, and I aim to help others tell theirs while continuing to evolve my own creative voice.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
It was in 2019, I was still a nobody and at the time I was just trying to get in the business figuring what am I supposed to do. That is until Me and another one of my bestfriends went to our local Film Festival and met my business partner/ God brother/Co-founder. We sat down and talked over time and said we were tired of waiting so we came together and created A.K Film Group to showcase our talents and help others as well.
