Today we’d like to introduce you to Niral Desai

Hi Niral, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I started making music last year, 2023. The story behind it was I was posting freestyles on Snapchat and my friend Ilias Anwar called me out and told me to put it into real music so he referred me to a producer and engineer to get me started. I got to where I am today because I used those connections that he gave me and with consistency and hard work, I built myself to where I am now.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

No, definitely struggles come along the way. For example, there are scammers out there in this industry that prey on up and coming artists like myself for a quick buck.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I’m an artist who makes music. I am known for starting my own genre in music called Bolly Pop. Bolly Pop is the fusion of Bollywood instrumentals and Pop culture such as American Pop and Pop Culture references in Bollywood. I am most proud of this genre because I have started it and will continues to try to spread awareness of this genre. What sets me apart from others is I’m an Indian-American artist who also advocates for mental-health awareness.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.

I think that risk taking is necessary to a degree in life because it allows you to go against your comfortability to possibly create an experience that will be worth it in the long run. I have definitely taken risks such as making the very first decision to start making music, and dropping my first ever song & music video called “Rich Boy” with Infamou$ G. Another risk that I will be taking very soon is moving to New York City in the start of 2025 to further my career in music. So yes, I think risk is good at times.
