ZS Legacy LLC, a small business rooted in the heart of community. My name is Zakkiyyah Salaam, and as the founder and an independent community organizer, I am dedicated to creating meaningful change by empowering local small businesses and fostering sustainable communities.
ZS Legacy LLC is more than a business; it is an initiative of love, born out of a disire to minimizing social disparities and uplifting marginalized communities. With an MBA in organizational leadership and years of experience in program development, fundraising, and partnership cultivation, I have been able to harness my skills and network to drive impactful community projects.
Our mission at ZS Legacy is to impact change through exposure to high-level opportunities and support for local small businesses. By providing these opportunities, we help break down barriers and inspire positive transformation within our community. One of our most cherished initiatives is our role as a community business partner. We connect local businesses with the support and resources they need to thrive, helping to build a sustainable ecosystem that promotes economic growth and development. Our goal is to create a network of businesses that can support each other and, in turn, support the broader community.
In addition to our business support initiatives, I host a podcast called “Uncomfortable Conversations,” where we shift the narrative of shameful experiences into understanding and empowerment. This platform allows business owners to share their journeys, fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance that strengthens our community bonds.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not that this has been smooth sailing I prefer to share the resolution recipe I use for all challenges. Through conversations I am able to build relationships. If I don’t know what to do I have a networth of real connections that can assist me through all obstacles or challenges. No one person takes on life or business a lone. That is the difference between success and failure.

Uncomfortable Conversations is a podcast presented by ZS LEGACY LLC. Uncomfortable Conversations is the vulnerable translation of one’s language transcribed from their reality. We are currently recording season 3 set for release summer 2024
Zakkiyyah Salaam is also writing the 1st book to be the beginning of the uncomfortable Conversations compilation to include 3 books total.
ZS Legacy LLC brokers and leverages their relationships in an effort to level the business field. Providing resources like business grants, and professional relationships for businesses that don’t know what opportunities are available to them.
ZS Legacy is most proud of the impact made during the inaugural LVIII Super Bowl Breakfast in Las Vegas 2024. ZS Legacy produced the 1st Legacy Reception for underserved youth in las Vegas. Close to 200 youth were able to attend the breakfast for the first time in the history of the SBB presented by Atthelets in Action. The Legacy Reception was a extension of the breakfast that provided a personal experience exclusive for the youth. They had an intimate engagement with the Bart Starr award winner Minkah Fitzpatrick with Tony Dungy and other high level sports icons. It’s also important to mention the community partners who supported the Legacy Reception like the Any Occasion Baskets, City of Las Vegas, Valhalla gaming and Complete Gamer for the activations with swag.
Zs Legacy LLC also specializes in mediation conflict resolution.
