Today we’d like to introduce you to T’asha Overton
Hi T’asha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I wasn’t always a service provider/brow artist!
I started my business off selling a growth serum for brows that I had created in 2020. I seen a girl on IG make a face product and she sold out within seconds of her dropping it online. Around that time, I was a little bit more into makeup (more than I am now) & I was into making my own products! I told myself I wanted do something like that! All it took for me was to see that and I was dedicated to it. I also sold brow products (pencils, pomades, brow gels, etc).
I realized that I was not as passionate about selling the products. But…I was obsessed with brows! Even if I had no make up on I can guarantee you my brows were always and I mean ALWAYS done! I made a plan to go to school and get licensed. I did that within the next year or so! I started actually servicing clients in March of 2022.
My business started off slow, of course. I was discouraged because all these people who claimed they would book, did not so I was worried I was going to fail. My friends and my family definitely supported me! My fiancé did as well! I wasn’t consistently on my social media page during that time! One day, I looked up and I realized people were starting to find out about my services. I started off in my living room, and after being there for a few months. I grew more and realized it was time to move out of my living room.
I am now in my 3rd location, and my business has grown tremendously over the last two years. I am in the process of adding Nano brows to my services which i’m really excited about!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
my journey wasn’t smooth in the beginning stages. there are so many sacrifices you have to make as a business owner. using personal money when you’re not getting clients to purchase the things you need, being booked one week but not booked the next. even now, there are some weeks I am not as booked as others but I still count my blessings because I could still be in the same place I was two years ago.. and i’m not!

I am a brow artist. I also specialize in waxing. I do more brows than waxing because that is what I promote the most and it’s what I love to do and what I am truly passionate about!
I am most proud of the progress i’ve made and I love to make women feel beautiful after leaving their appointment. there are so many people who are self conscious about their brows and i’m very grateful that my clients choose me each and every time!
I am also proud of the progress i’ve made in regards to my social media content. I also enjoy making content and i’ve definitely made a lot of adjustments in that area. it is difficult being the CEO, the receptionist, the content creator and the brow artist but definitely well worth it.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have to give credit to God first and foremost. I do feel like he’s given me a gift. well multiple really because although I own a business I still have a 9-5 and doing well in both areas!
I have to also give credit to my mom and step dad. I told them this is what I wanted to do and they’ve supported me the entire time. down to buying my first supplies coming to put things together etc
I have to give credit to my fiancé, my close friends and family members. they were all there with me while I was in my living room! my fiancé invested a lot of his time helping me get things together every time I came up with a new idea! my friends let me play on their faces even when my brows didn’t look the best! I will forever be grateful for that!
I love them all so much! they always recommend people to me and they still come get serviced themselves
