Sasha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

My journey began with a relentless battle against poor sleep. Bright lights always kept me awake, from childhood right through college. I tried every sleep mask out there, but they were all either uncomfortable or ineffective. While studying fashion and marketing at the University of Rhode Island, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I sourced the most luxurious, high-quality silk and created my own sleep mask.

Friends quickly took notice and started asking for their own masks. That was the lightbulb moment! I realized there was a real demand for comfortable, effective, and stylish sleep masks. So, Perpetual Shade was born. We’ve expanded to include hyaluronic acid-infused masks, Magnesium Mist, and linen sprays. Each product is designed to enhance your sleep and wellness experience. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so excited about what’s next for Perpetual Shade.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

Oh, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! Like any entrepreneurial journey, there have been plenty of bumps and challenges along the way. One of the biggest struggles was finding the right materials and manufacturers who could meet my high standards for quality. I wanted to create products that were not only effective but also luxurious and comfortable, and that meant a lot of trial and error.

Another challenge was building the brand from scratch. Marketing and getting the word out was tough, especially in a crowded market. There were times when I doubted whether I could really make an impact. But, I stayed persistent, kept pushing, and focused on delivering products that truly helped people improve their sleep and wellness.

Managing growth has also been a learning curve. As demand increased, scaling production without compromising on quality was a delicate balance. Plus, trusting others to help grow the brand was hard at first, but I’ve learned the importance of building a strong team. Despite the struggles, every challenge has taught me something valuable and made Perpetual Shade stronger and better.

I’m incredibly excited about the future of Perpetual Shade! One of the big plans is to expand our product line even further, continuing to innovate and bring new, luxurious sleep and wellness products to our customers. We’re currently developing a range of magnesium focused products. I’m also looking forward to expanding our reach and growing our presence both online and in select retail stores. Increasing our accessibility means more people can experience the benefits of our products, which is really important to me. Overall, I’m looking forward to continuing to innovate, grow, and bring the best in sleep and wellness products to our amazing customers. The journey has been incredible so far, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
