Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Jackson

Hi Sheila, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I have had a passion for music most of my life. I have had the opportunity to manage a band and be catalyst to securing a record deal back in the early 90’s. My passion has since brought me to starting my business Mz Jackson Media Group AKA MJMG. This does encompass a record label and a publishing company as well as having a regular show on Apple TV and Google TV. MJMG provides a variety of services to the Indy Artist. MJMG has partnered with SHU Radio out of Brooklyn NY and has other business endeavors with SHU Music Group owner and CEO Spud Brooklyn. This relationship/partnership does build and shop artist to major record labels. MJMG currently has two signed artist. One artist in Africa and Tony Bosco in Baltimore MD. MJMG has working relationships with many artist and producers as well as actors.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

The culture of the music industry can be very challenging in many ways. Two of my biggest challenges are nudging relationships and giving more than I receive. Often times it is difficult because I find my passion for an artist to be greater than the artist has for himself. This becomes difficult in so much time wasted. The other challenge is my need to have communication. I am a go getter and do not like to duplicate efforts.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I am a media company that incorporates many services and is a multifaceted company. I am most proud of the accomplishments made in such a short period of time. I feel that MJMG is set apart because of being a one stop shop. Most importantly dropping three albums and several singles. Having the opportunity to interview music industry legends such as Michael Cooper of Confunction, Glasses Malone, Mr Serv On of No limit records. Be sure to check out the best project out there!! Currently looking to build my team. Looking for artists and others in the entertainment industry to work with. Always looking for passionate people.
