Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Karch
Hi Rachel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my journey in photography about 4 years ago with a passion for cosplay and event organization. My expertise has grown to include composite photography, where I create unique and artistic images by combining multiple photos. My work in the cosplay community has been particularly rewarding, as I strive to help people see their own beauty and creativity. I currently work as a photography instructor as well.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not always been smooth. Some challenges I’ve faced include balancing my passion for photography with other responsibilities, staying updated with evolving technology, and finding my unique artistic voice. Overcoming these hurdles has made my journey more rewarding, allowing me to grow both personally and professionally.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in creating unique, artistic images by combining multiple photos into a new image. From what I am told, what sets me apart is my ability to make clients feel comfortable and confident, bringing out their best in every shot. In addition to my skills in creating composite images and making clients feel confident, what sets me apart is my extensive experience in the cosplay community and event organization – as I am often selected for those type of gigs. My understanding of cosplay allows me to capture many characters authentically. Additionally, my ability to bring creative visions to life through detailed planning and execution ensures each photoshoot is unique and tailored to my client’s needs.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Many people deserve credit for my journey. Bane Grimm Photo has been my main photography buddy, supporting and believing in me throughout. My friend Mason provided amazing feedback on my composites, pushing me to improve. Candice Brown (Nerdy Princess Cosplays) has helped with big events like weddings. My best friend encouraged me to pursue photography and never give up. Additionally, my good friend, Liz (Lizcraft Cosplays) is always ready to do a photoshoot. Their collective support has been instrumental in my success.
