We were lucky to catch up with Krys Wolf recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Krys, thanks for joining us today. Innovation comes in all shapes, sizes and across all industries, so we’d love to hear about something you’ve done that you feel was particularly innovative.

One day, I was having a sesh with a few friends, and it was an important one because my cousin Gina Jay, a well-known cannabis advocate from California, was visiting for the first time. I was rolling a 5-gram joint when I noticed my friend Frankie was rolling a 1-gram joint. I joked about him rolling such a small joint next to my big one, and whatever I said made Frankie rip off the tip of his joint and stick it into the middle of mine. Gina then mentioned she had concentrate I could add, so I lined the side of Frankie’s joint with it, added more flower, and rolled it all together. When we smoked it, we noticed two different ashes—one from the original joint and one from Frankie’s little joint. That night, we called it “Jointception,” Now our Jointception has 3 hash holes one in the little joint and 2 on the side of the little joint rolled into a big joint.

Krys, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

When I first started in the cannabis space i was full ready to be an online influencer that just did product review. i never really thought pass that. Fast forward i was asked to roll at a Happy Munkey event, I was just an average roller—someone who could roll a nice joint but nothing particularly special. That all changed when Kym B, owner of Tribe Tokes, asked me to create a blunt that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also sparkly. This challenge inspired me to create the Wolf Roll, a designer-style joint or blunt that can be customized with bedazzled bands and personal touches, making it a fashionable statement piece. The Wolf Roll isn’t just about smoking—it’s about art and self-expression. What began as a simple request has now set me apart from other rollers, combining creativity and innovation to leave people awestruck by the beauty and uniqueness of each roll.

After three years, I can honestly say I’ve been incredibly lucky and blessed to do what I love. While I’m not the most social person, owning Wolf Designs has given me the opportunity to channel my creativity into my rolling. I truly enjoy making custom pieces that are shared or gifted during memorable moments—whether it’s a wedding, birthday, honoring a loved one, or gifting to important clients. One idea I’ve been working on is encouraging people to keep the roach or clip of their Wolf Roll and dip it in resin to preserve the piece. It’s a common sentiment I hear when people receive a Wolf Roll: it’s too pretty to smoke or throw away. Dipping it in resin allows them to keep the memory and the art alive for years to come.

Traveling the world for my business has been such a blessing, and I’m proud to have been featured in several articles and even be part of a documentary that aired in the Netherlands. Seeing others take pride in my work is the greatest honor. I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of my community, and for that, I am truly grateful.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

One of the things I truly enjoy most is seeing the look on people’s faces when they receive a Wolf Roll. It’s that moment of surprise and excitement when they realize how unique and special the piece is. It’s a feeling that never gets old. I also love getting the chance to talk to people about their experiences—whether they’ve received a custom roll before or shared one with someone special. Hearing their stories and seeing how these rolls have created lasting memories is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. It’s not just about the roll itself, but the connection and joy it brings to those who experience it.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I’ve been fortunate to work with some truly incredible people throughout my journey. One of the things I’ve always prioritized is consistency in my work—staying true to my craft and delivering quality in everything I do. But beyond that, I’ve also learned the importance of surrounding myself with people who genuinely want to collaborate and grow with me. I believe in working with those who share the same passion and vision, as it creates more meaningful and authentic connections. It’s not just about working with anyone—it’s about building relationships that are real and mutually supportive, and I’m grateful for everyone I’ve had the opportunity to work with along the way.
