Jamie , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My Mission would be to fuels creativity and motivation for budding entrepreneurs in The Bahamas. Revealing captivating stories and uncovering local trendsetters, thereby forging community bonds and fostering entrepreneurial zeal, Networking & Collaborations

Jamie , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

At 22 years old, I am proud to call Freeport, Grand Bahama (The Bahamas) my home and the foundation of my entrepreneurial journey. I am the founder and proprietor of two growing business ventures:
1. Fyne Graphics, where I serve as the Head Graphic Designer, Content Creator, and Social Media Manager.
2. Bahamag Magazine, a quarterly publication celebrating Bahamian entrepreneurs and trendsetters, for which I am the Chief Editor.

I am also the visionary behind Pinkspiration, an all-pink breast cancer fundraiser and a promising annual event. This initiative, created in collaboration with the outstanding business Candylicious, highlights my dedication to meaningful projects that inspire and uplift others.

Beyond my businesses, I wear many hats: Social Host, Entertainer (vocalist and dancer), Philanthropist, Socialite, and more. In essence, I embrace the title of a “jack of all trades,” with a constant drive to diversify and expand my skill set.

Guiding Principles
I live by three core principles:
• Humility: Remain humble in all pursuits.
• Gratitude: Be thankful for every opportunity.
• Patience: Understand that success requires time, effort, and focus.

I believe in the mantra that good things come to those who work toward their goals without comparing themselves to others. After all, there is only one you!

Mission
My mission is to address the gaps in awareness, exposure, and networking, not only for talented individuals and entrepreneurs but also for personal and general growth. I aim to foster an environment where collaboration and creativity can thrive.

Achievements and Aspirations
I am most proud of my journey of personal growth, the supportive network I have cultivated, and my various accomplishments, including this opportunity to share my story. Through my work, I hope to inspire clients and fans to see the authenticity in my projects and the unique creative perspectives I bring to the table.

This is just the beginning. I am excited to continue building and sharing my vision with the world.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I have come to understand that things will not always unfold as I expect or align perfectly with my desires. It is essential to trust the process and allow the universe to take its course.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

In 2019, I had an idea to create BAHAMAG Magazine, a platform dedicated to celebrating Bahamian entrepreneurs and trendsetters. The concept was clear, and the vision was strong, but life threw unexpected challenges my way, and the idea was placed on a hiatus in 2022 before it could truly take off.

For some, this might have been the end of the road, but not for me. With unwavering determination and a passion for highlighting Bahamian excellence, I decided to breathe new life into the idea. After careful planning and preparation, BAHAMAG Magazine officially launched on January 5th, 2024, as a quarterly publication with a renewed spirit and purpose.

This milestone was more than just the start of a magazine—it was a testament to my ability to turn setbacks into opportunities. Through perseverance and a refusal to let challenges define me, I transformed what seemed like a dormant dream into a thriving reality. This journey not only showcased my resilience but also inspired others to believe that even when ideas are placed on hold, there is always potential for growth and revival.
