Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Biggins
Hi Haley , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was truly born a natural story teller. For some reason, I can take the most simple conversation and create an entire screenplay from it, or inspiration from it for another creative project. I’ve always been a creative writer and I was always fascinated with photography / videography. I told everyone growing up “I’ll be living in LA one day working on movie sets” and sure enough, my senior year of college that’s exactly what I did! Although my experience was short lived, it was an experience I needed and longed for a very long time.
When I came back from LA I decided to take on photography as a side hustle, doing small shoots for friends and family. Through some marketing and word of mouth, Haley Rose Photography blew up a little bit! I do these fun little themed pop up shoots locally throughout the year that are super popular, and I am fortunate to be well known in my community.
My degree is in communications and digital media, so my heart is still very much so in LA with the entertainment industry. Last year I decided to put my thoughts onto paper and write my first screenplay, Safe Word. I am so blessed to have received such positive support and feedback, this script has won multiple awards already, in its first year of life! It’s currently published on Amazon. My huge main goal I am chasing right now is finding representation as a writer. I just finished a children’s book I am publishing, and I am in the middle of drafting my next screenplay. I am so excited to pursue writing in the future.
In the meantime, I still do photography and I am a SR Marketing Specialists for Alliance Cancer Specialists. I have so many creative thoughts, my head often cannot keep up! My other goal is to rebrand Haley Rose Photography in the near future, so I can start offering creative marketing and advertising services to small businesses.
Being able to do what I enjoy while being able to make a living off it, has been the greatest blessing!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I truly think the creative mind is often the troubled mind. My biggest struggle on my journey, has been myself. My battle with depression and anxiety is so overwhelming at times. I lost my job in 2023, and lost my father 2 months later. It was without a doubt the hardest moment of my life, that I am still trying to come back from. I would say this has been the hardest part in my story, but I do my best everyday to keep my head up and keep on keeping on. My stories aren’t going to write themselves!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently, Haley Rose Photography offers packages for maternity, newborn, weddings / elopement’s, events, branding, proposal, engagements and more. I am spending this year rebranding my business, the photography part will just be a sector of the bigger picture!
I don’t have an official name yet, but in 2025 I will have an official website launch and will be offering marketing and advertising services such as: printing business cards, creating flyers, social media management and content creation, print, traditional, and digital ad design and management. My photography and videography packages will still be offered, but I will have so much more to give!
