Today we’d like to introduce you to Debra Mosley
Hi Debra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
God is the primary source of strength in my life. There’s no way that I would’ve made it this far without him. I had a very rough childhood. However, I’m grateful that the pain from that experience assisted with developing the artist & nurse that I am today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My path has never been easy. Often times artists are misunderstood which leads to rejection. I’ve learned that dead ends lead to pivotal turning points. Sometimes closed doors initiates a drive to find another way to do what’s in your heart.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m both a dance creative & I’m a RN. I’ve taught dance for half of my life & I’ve been a Nurse for half of my life.
I’m most proud of all of the lives that I’ve impacted through my heart work (dance) and as a healthcare clinician (nursing). Moreover, I’ve trained a numerous amount of people in both areas. I will continue to do so as long as I live because teaching is one of my strengths.
My unique difference is what sets me apart. I’m enough & there’s a specific group of people who I’m assigned to. Whether it’s 3, 20, 100 or etc. as long as I remain true to who I am, submitted to God, my pour will remain pure.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned along my journey is believing in myself despite what others may think. Even if 10,000 people cheer you on, if you’re not your biggest cheerleader their claps won’t matter. External opinions should never outweigh self belief. When the crowd claps diminish, you’ll be left with yourself!
Fear is expensive & it paralyzes purpose. Face the fear & forge forward. Courage is a beacon of light when you take a leap or a step of faith in the dark.
