I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey two years ago, stepping into the world of window treatment design while balancing the responsibilities of being a stay-at-home mom. Alongside my husband, I transitioned from years in the industry working for others to establishing our own business. We felt a calling to leverage our industry expertise and creative vision as a dynamic duo.

My background in psychology, a field that has always held a special place in my heart, added a unique dimension to my approach in this profession. Understanding the psychological impact of colors, textures, and designs on individuals and their living spaces fascinated me. I recognized the power of aesthetics in transforming a house into a home, shaping emotions, and reflecting personal narratives.

I’ve always held a deep passion for aesthetics, believing that soft and hard window treatments have the ability to enhance a space in ways often underestimated by homeowners. The subtleties of fabrics and design elements can imbue an environment with beauty and character, altering the atmosphere of a home significantly.

Although it was a challenging endeavor to kickstart our own business, especially while caring for my two beloved and energetic boys, I was driven by a dual ambition. Not only did I aspire to navigate the dual roles of a career-oriented woman and a dedicated parent, but I also aimed to embody the spirit of a determined immigrant chasing the American dream. Having moved to the U.S. at a young age of 16 from Poland, the journey was marked with its own set of trials. However, the pursuit of success and the pride in overcoming obstacles alongside my immigrant husband fueled our unwavering determination to carve our path and create a thriving business.

Navigating the path to success as both a parent and an entrepreneur has been a multifaceted journey for my husband and I.. One significant challenge we encountered involved building a new clientele from the ground up. To expand our reach, we engaged in proactive strategies such as making phone calls, knocking on doors, while always ensuring that we respected the boundaries of our previous professional connections.

Additionally, we took bold steps to approach prominent designers, showcasing the value and expertise of our business. Through these efforts, we aimed to demonstrate that our venture was not just a small endeavor but a powerhouse of creativity and innovation in the industry.

Balancing parenthood with the demands of entrepreneurship added another layer of complexity. Despite the challenges, we remained committed to providing our children with the utmost care and attention while nurturing our business. By prioritizing quality time with our sons and delegating tasks effectively, we ensured that our family remained at the core of our endeavors, even as we dedicated ourselves to the growth and success of our business.
