Today we’d like to introduce you to Vernon Williams
Hi Vernon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started in New Jersey. The garden state is where I was born and raised. Growing up I was heavily influenced by my family to be ambitious and work hard on your goals. In this process I had many setbacks that I learned from that propelled me to graduate college and create Karibe.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to where I am today had many potholes, speed bumps and detours. I am grateful for every obstacle and hope to receive more. My biggest obstacle has always been obtaining the capital to fund my enterprising ideas. LOL
As you know, we’re big fans of Karibe. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Karibe is a kitchenware brand located in New Jersey. We prioritize providing quality home decor while educating our fellow foodies we call Karibbeans about our Kulture. Our Kulture is African and Caribbean cultures impact within our industry.
Our Kulture is what separates us from our competitors as we are looking to educate on what Karibe stands for. What keeps me going every day is the impact Karibe has had on my life once it has been founded. How do you think about happiness?
My health and family are what makes me happy. My family’s influence shaped me into who I am today and without them I wouldn’t be where I am. Regarding health, I don’t think I need to explain. I am truly blessed.
