We recently connected with Jocelyn Morton and have shared our conversation below.
Jocelyn , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I come from very humble beginnings, and I hope that I’m able show my family, those before me and well after me how to keep going and do it for yourself first, that way you build yourself strong enough to support others. My goal is to simply be the first in my family to go beyond regional success! To global.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
For those who don’t know me, my name is Jocelyn Morton. I am an independent artist and business owner of a boutique styled salon. As far as my music, I started as a young girl in the church, and my mother taught me everything I know! She herself sings, and sang all over Atlanta the gospel! When I became older I decided to take a more personal route with music and be independent. In addition to my music, I acquired a boutique style salon as well. After hair school I worked in various salons, learning and growing to soon one day have my own; and now present day I have a successful salon called the Luxx Brand. We make our hair products, offer boutique clothing, shoes, and bags, and also DO HAIR! We are growing and I’m loving every bit.
Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
As of 2022 we just started making our own products! These products are full of moisture, and are solely based on the needs of my clients.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Before I actually decided to do a brick and mortar styled business I was met with many contractor obstacles. It prolonged my opening date and all. I was so fed up until the point I actually went into my salon space, and finished painting, assembling and cleaning everything myself. I even had to tote wood that was wrongfully placed at another suite, and walk it to mine. It was very heavy and not at all fun. But it was what I had to do, to get it done..
