Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Annette Eberly . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Annette, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I’m a writer, film producer, composer, and a children’s book author. I have loved to tell stories since I was a child which fueled my passion as a writer. The passion grew when I became an actress. From there, I decided to start my own indie film company under the name A.E Production – Annette Eberly Production.
What sets me apart from others is that my work is my ministry. Money is nice but it’s not the driving force behind my determination to produce films. I believe that we’re all created for a purpose. We have been endowed with gifts and talents to make an impact in this world. It is up to us to discover those gifts and once discovered, to use them for the betterment of our society. So, I want a story that has a substance. A story that can have a positive impact to viewers, or anyone who might be going through the same struggles in life. If my projects will help them, it brings me so much joy. My goal is to help them make a positive change in their life or thinking. I believe this is my calling.
I’d like to share with you my most recent project, Trapped In The Past. We filmed it June 2022 in the Philippines. It’s a story about my mother and traumatic events that trap her in the past. The bitterness she carried through her life affected her and everyone around her. My mama was so relieved to see her story come to life through film, and it really helped her gain closure. Her family finally learned what she had gone through. Also, I was proud of the filming process. It was a miracle! There was unity and love in everyone, from the cast and crew. Their attitude played a vital role in our success. There was no complaining, everyone was happy and enjoyed being there. To work with the right people matters most as it affects everything. When there is unity, everything flows smoothly and it made the process of filming so fun and enjoyable.

Annette , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
It was when I had my divorce. My world was falling apart, I was losing my family, my health, my finances and my sanity. I was bankrupt mentally and spiritually. I came close to giving up hope but I had three children and two grandchildren that I loved so much. They kept me going. I had to start from scratch. I was working odd jobs to make ends meet. During my struggle, I blamed God for everything. I was angry at him and I stopped believing, but he never gave up on me. He was there all along. He was patient. It is his will that no one would perish but have life. He loved me regardless of my flaws and gave me a fresh start. It was during my storms that I discovered the gifts God gave me. My message is, “Never give up hope. If someone knocks you down, get up and use that experience as a stepping stone to go forward and beyond. Get out of the rut and start over”. With the new happier me, I was discovered and became a print and commercial model for First Models and Talent Agency. Also, I was inspired to write and produce films. Since then, I have written several short films: Imagine That, Free At Last, The Rebel Sisters, Plea For The Unborn, and Trapped In The Past.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
To leave a legacy that reflects Christ in me is my goal. A life that is more of Him and less of me. I want to be remembered as a humble, compassionate, loving and a forgiving person.
