Hi Davonte “Deuce”, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Almont Records is most definitely a mission-driven company. We at Almont stand for keeping Artists at the center of everything we do. The Artist and their vision should be supported, not modified for marketability’s sake. So our mission here at Almont Records is to change the scope, and redefine the music industry by bringing creatives back to the center.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Davonte “Deuce” Harris is from Detroit, MI, currently bi-coastal working between Detroit and Los Angeles. He’s the CEO/Founder of Almont Records LLC, a producer, studio/touring musician, singer/songwriter, and more. Deuce started in music early on playing drums and bass in church, eventually moving to Los Angeles to pursue music further. His work now not only lies within studio walls, but expands beyond, as his mission to reshape the way the industry works is one with a major impact. Deuce believes that being disciplined not only in your craft but in all aspects of life is one of the keys to his success and inspires others to put it into practice as well.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

One of the best sources of new clients for Almont has been networking. Networking can be a powerful tool for any industry professional but for people in creative industries, it’s especially powerful. Outside of the connections you can make from simply going to see some live music, you truly can learn so much about how the industry works by just immersing yourself in the environment and observing. Networking is an amazing source.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Discipline. Like stated earlier, discipline is key. Practice discipline in all areas of your life and you will flourish.
