We were lucky to catch up with Margarita Parsamyan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Margarita, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with a hypothetical question – if it were up to you, what would you change about the school or education system to better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?
I can clearly remember how music lessons shaped my value system from a very young age. I started singing in a choir at the age of 5, and we had 3-hour rehearsals twice a week. It sounds intense, right? It was incredibly demanding. I had to learn around 100 songs a month, even before I could read. With the help of my mom, we found the quickest ways to memorize the music, and it trained my brain to perform mental tasks that were far beyond what most 5-year-olds experience—memorizing songs and lyrics in languages I didn’t even speak at the time. I’m so grateful for this experience because it instilled in me discipline, focus, and determination at an early age.
As a teenager, while studying voice, piano, and music theory at music school, I also started performing as part of the children’s choir at the National Opera House of Armenia. Being part of the opera world was truly magical, and I had the chance to perform on grand stages. This experience expanded my view of the world, opened up new horizons for me, and helped me discover my true mission in life. I always felt different from others because I had the privilege of witnessing and participating in the creation of high art.
I’ve always dreamed of creating my own music school, where children would receive a well-rounded music education, perform on big stages, compete in festivals, participate in masterclasses and workshops, and have the opportunity to hear the world’s greatest musicians perform live. Over time, I’ve realized that music education in America can be quite generic, and it doesn’t capture the true essence of music. I believe that simply learning to play one instrument and focusing solely on that will never fully unlock the transformative power of music. Music has the ability to change you from the inside out, and that’s the kind of education I aim to provide at my MP Miami Music School.

Margarita, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Margarita Parsamyan, an Operatic Soprano and the Founder of MP Miami Music School. Through my journey as a performer, I’ve come to realize the power of storytelling in song. I believe there is no better platform for me to encourage reflection on social, political, humanitarian, and everyday issues than through the extraordinary characters I portray on stage. Combining my profession with my passion for teaching, I’m on a mission to educate the next generation to be more responsible, determined, and disciplined, to appreciate art, and to stay dedicated to their goals. Above all, I emphasize the importance of music in children’s lives, as it plays a key role in building character from a young age. This vision led me to establish my music school.
At MP Miami Music School, we offer voice, piano, and guitar lessons taught by highly skilled, top-tier instructors from Miami. We are proud educational partner with the world-renowned Steinway & Sons pianos, providing our students with access to masterclasses, concerts, and workshops taught by exceptional musicians from around the world. Our students also perform at Miami HEAT games at the Kaseya Center and, through a special collaboration with Florida Grand Opera, they have the unique opportunity to attend operatic performances and be part of the rehearsal process.
What sets us apart from other music schools is our focus on a well-rounded music education that nurtures the overall development of the child. We take great pride in having the best-certified teachers, all graduates of prestigious conservatories, to guide and educate the next generation of musicians.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Consistency is key when it comes to growing your audience and attracting clients on social media. Posting regularly and offering valuable content are essential for success on these platforms. A piece of advice for those just starting to share their journey online: Don’t be afraid to share what you know. You might think it’s simple or that everyone already knows it, but trust me, people don’t have your unique expertise or experience. So, let go of the fear and start sharing your story and knowledge.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The results our students achieve and the way they transform through their musical journey at MP Miami Music School are truly remarkable. Parents often express their gratitude, noting not only how their child improves at playing an instrument, but also how much more organized, driven, and motivated they become in other areas of life—especially in school. They see their children tackle homework more efficiently and approach learning with a newfound focus.
For our adult students, many share how therapeutic their music lessons have been. They’ve often had a long-held desire to learn how to sing or play an instrument but never had the opportunity until now. Seeing them fulfill these wishes and find satisfaction in their lives is incredibly rewarding. It always warms my heart to know how much of a positive impact we’ve made in their lives.
