We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Trinette CollierGreene. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Trinette below.
Alright, Trinette thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My Parents were parents of 5 children and were full time entrepreneurs. My Mother was a Stay-At-Home Mom who taught us the basic skills of life such as cooking, clearning, maintaining the home, arts & crafts and so much more. Our Father taught us the basics of entrepreneurship and our family operated as a team. When were children, my parents helped us with our first lemonade stand and that was the beginning of creating businesses over time. My Parents were very instrumental in my career as an Educator and an Entrepreneur, which led to my current journey.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a person who loves people, which entails helping, inspiring and encouraging those who are in need of it. This is what led me into coaching, more specific, building relationships and self love. I actually started doing this as an Educator of 28 years with my students and colleagues and didn’t realize it in later in my career. My focus began to shift into coaching and I started focusing on building healthier relationships with people and more importantly, Self. After decades of teaching, I decided to pursue my new career as a Certified Relationship Strategist. I offer solutions by providing strategies to those who are seeking to build self love and healthier relationships with self. In this field, you must have compassion, empathy, and a genuine love of people to make that connection. This is what sets me apart, I’ve been on the other side of life and now I’m able to offer solutions to help.
Proud moment in my field would be the release of my 30 Day Journal to Self Love. It was the actual work that I put in before becoming a Certified Relationship Strategist. So this wasn’t an overnight project for me. I wanted to give my audience, clients and potential clients a tool that could be available to use during their self love journey.
I want the audience to know that I am very passionate about my coaching just as I was as an Educator of 28 years. I want people to live in their truth and accept themselves. I’m very grateful and thankful about the positive and ordained connections that I have made.
I am blessed beyond measure to have positive and encouraging inspirations on this new journey. Of course, my inspiration started with my late parents (Ivory and Carolyn Collier), my siblings, my niece and nephews, dear friends, supporters and of course, my husband, Chef Greene.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was born to be an Educator and it was my life until the pandemic arrived. I had always thought about retiring when I turned 60 or so because I wanted to teach as long as I could. I wanted to be like my Mentors and teach until old age…the longevity of being a classroom teacher. However, 2019/2020 school year was abruptly brought to a halt and when the world change, so did my life. Teaching in the pandemic taught me a valuable and underrated lessons…my health and peace were essential. Pandemic teaching had left me depleted and started to cause health issues and it was at that moment, that a shift of the mind had to pivot. It was a very tough and emotional decision but not for long as my doctor/hospital visits became a monthly routine during the pandemic. After many prayers and confirmation, I took an early retirement from the classroom to pursue my coaching practice full time. I’m still part of the education community but with good health, freedom and options!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn is that I had options in my career. For many years, being an educator, the only options presented were those of being an administrative or other speciality areas however, the longer I stayed, I didn’t want to pursue those areas anymore, I became more intrigued with helping the adults as well as the children. Overtime, I became the person whom everyone would love to talk to, seek positive advice, affirmations, and more. I truly couldn’t connect the dots until one day, I created a vision board with a friend who helped me create my own positions and still included education. In 2013, I challenged myself to explore the world of coaching, enrolled in an accredited program and became a Certified Relationship Coach/Strategist.
