We recently connected with Eva Antoniadou and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Eva thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?
The shift brought about by Covid transformed my business model, making me more self-sufficient. Initially, it was challenging to focus solely on myself, as I had never worked full-time from home before. While I had previously consulted with clients via Zoom, phone, and other means, doing it full-time was a new experience. Surprisingly, I got more done and focused on what mattered.
With the extra time, I could refine my business models, create products, and streamline shipping—all while working between client sessions. This flexibility allowed me to achieve more in the same amount of time I might have spent employed elsewhere. It also allowed me to develop and enhance both my spiritual and cosmetic business ventures.
While working alone can feel isolating at times, it has taught me to embrace independence and become more self-reliant. The journey has been transformative, enabling me to grow both personally and professionally.
Eva , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I began my career in the corporate world, which laid the foundation for the efficiency I bring to my office work today. However, my true passion has always been in beauty. Driven by that love, I transitioned to becoming a Nail Technician, Hair Stylist, and Makeup Artist. My ultimate goal was to create and own my own cosmetic company—a dream that came to life in 2014 with the founding of Hey Girl! Cosmetics. Now, celebrating a decade in business, my brand continues to grow and evolve.
What sets my holistic cosmetic company apart is the infusion of Cosmic Energy Healing into my handmade products. This unique approach reflects my dual role as both a beauty entrepreneur and a healer. My journey as a healer began alongside my work in beauty services, and the two have become deeply interconnected.
Hey Girl! Cosmetics is all about fostering love and self-love. My mission is to help people feel their best, both inside and out. As a healer and psychic consultant, I focus on guiding individuals to overcome depression, release negative attachments, and realign with their true selves—whether in work, relationships, or life.
In essence, I strive to bring beauty from the inside out, helping others achieve spiritual alignment while enhancing their outward confidence and radiance. It’s a holistic approach to healing and beauty, blending inner transformation with outer brilliance.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I had to unlearn in life was to stop taking advice from narrow-minded people who lack experience in life, love, or any form of success in their work. Their limited perspectives often stem from fear or inexperience, and listening to them only holds you back from reaching your full potential. Instead, I’ve learned to trust my own instincts and seek wisdom from those who have truly lived, loved, and achieved.
I come from a hardworking middle-class family, but unfortunately, my parents held a narrow mindset. They often emphasized that achieving anything required extra hard work, which is only partly true. However, they also unknowingly placed limits on themselves when it came to creating wealth and abundance. Growing up, most of my friends shared a similar working-class mentality because of the way their parents brought them up, reinforcing the belief that success was difficult and out of reach.
It took me decades to unlearn this outdated belief system, but I am living proof that anything is possible with the right mindset. Through affirmations and permitting myself to succeed, I’ve broken free from those limiting ideas and embraced the limitless possibilities life has to offer.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My resilience reflects the journey of many immigrants who come to the States with big dreams and determination. Against the odds, I faced challenges, worked hard, and overcame obstacles to build a lasting life and career. It’s proof of perseverance, adaptability, and belief in a better future. In addition, this also reflects becoming a Makeup Artist where I was told this is a hobby and I had to prove to myself that I could make a living out of it and start my beauty brand. I feel like everything I have started is almost me having to prove to people that I am capable of adapting and that I am a fighter and don’t easily give up.
