We recently connected with Rebekah Allen and have shared our conversation below.
Rebekah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you as a business owner?
Before launching Glass Transactions, I had been working since the age of 15. My children often joke that I’ve tried my hand at just about everything. Here’s a quick look at my previous jobs: I’ve worked at a snowball stand, tanning salons, as a cashier at a large garden and Christmas shop, for a mulch company, during the US census, as an admin for a prominent real estate team, and even as a massage therapist, among many other roles. Once I turned 18, I typically juggled two jobs at once, often working 60 hours a week just to make ends meet. Through these experiences, I learned how to navigate challenging interactions with co-workers and customers, as well as how to effectively manage my time to maintain a work-life balance. I encountered fantastic managers at some jobs and truly terrible ones at others. As I lead my business, I strive to be transparent and honest with my clients, aiming to under-promise and over-deliver. When issues arise, I take a proactive approach to address them while keeping my clients informed to avoid any unpleasant surprises. I also ensure that I treat my team with respect and dignity, recognizing that we work to enhance our lives—not the other way around.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We provide transaction coordination and marketing support for real estate agents. Our reputation is built on delivering outstanding, friendly customer service to both agents and their clients. We take pride in ensuring that our agents feel confident their transaction and marketing needs are well taken care of, allowing them to maintain smooth operations and reclaim their time!
At Glass Transactions, our mission extends beyond offering exceptional service; we aim to cultivate a community where innovation and integrity thrive. Each interaction and transaction is handled with a commitment to improvement and excellence. My team and I are devoted to ongoing learning, keeping us ahead in a constantly evolving market.
Ultimately, our focus is not solely on the business itself, but on the people we serve and the relationships we nurture.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’m thrilled to share my journey with you and how it led me to the vibrant world of real estate transaction coordination. Originally, I established a fulfilling career as a massage therapist, where I not only honed my skills but also had the privilege of making a tangible difference in my clients’ lives. I found immense joy in bringing comfort to homebound individuals through accessible services. However, the physical demands and irregular hours prompted me to pursue a path that was more sustainable for my family.
During a pivotal moment in my life, while on bed rest during pregnancy, I realized it was time for a career change. This led me to return to college to earn a bachelor’s degree in business. My enduring passion for entrepreneurship guided me to the real estate field, where I began by working for a large team and then a brokerage as an in-house transaction coordinator.
In this role, I discovered my strengths in organization, attention to detail, and marketing, which seamlessly translated into a fulfilling career behind the scenes. I am passionate about supporting agents and clients alike, ensuring that every transaction is smooth and successful. My journey has taught me the importance of adaptability and perseverance, and I am excited to continue contributing to the local business community through my work in real estate as a transaction coordinator.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The most effective way I gain new clients is through word of mouth. I am convinced that by providing exceptional service to the real estate agents I work with, we attract the majority of our new clients. Their referrals are indeed the lifeblood of our business. Additionally, attending networking events has been another valuable source. These events provide us the opportunity to meet real estate agents face to face, allowing for authentic connections and the chance to showcase our dedication and expertise in person.
