Cherelle , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I have always been the little girl who was performing all around the house then I started writing raps at 19 and kept writing raps through finishing college. I wanted to move to Atlanta Georgia in the middle of college and then the pandemic happened. So I just kept writing silently to different beats and learning how to create a song. I moved to Austin, Texas once i graduated college because i got the job at CBS Austin as a morning director and then finally decided to start taking my dreams serious. I found the nearest recording studio and got started. That was a little over a year ago!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Like I previously mentioned, I started writing raps at 19. So I always knew it was bound to happen for me to start my music journey, it was just about the right timing. i am most proud of the fact i am constantly growing and learning everyday as someone new to the hip hop game

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal as an artist is to just make people smile and feel seen through my music. Being able to connect with people through my music is one of the most rewarding aspects.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?

For me, the more i started diving deeper into writing music and doing this seriously.. the more i started to learn and understand myself better then i have ever thus far in my entire life. With that being said, I needed only the genuine, and honest people around me. That I know love me and see who Cherelle TRULY is. Such as my family. You get to a point in life, with any career, where some things you just have to figure out on your own because God gave YOU the gift to pursue this partially career path. So having people around that truly love and support me helps pick me up on my weak moments.
