We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Teresa Jennings a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Teresa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
Performing real estate transaction makes the phrase “walking into the unknown” your reality. Everyone situation is different when purchasing a home. No matter I deep I was with knowledge on real estate, every transaction makes you feel like, a beginner. From the very beginning to the end is a huge possibility the transaction can go left. For instance, I’ve gotten an offer accepted, an inspection done, and earnest money delivered and one of the parties woke up on the wrong side of the bed and forfeited the whole transaction. So as a real estate agent you are pretty much walking on egg shells from the beginning to AFTER closing. lol

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Teresa Jennings. I am from a small city, Morgan City, la. I was born and raised there with no intention on moving out of state. Not saying I did not want to, but just never got the feeling I was. Knew I was capable, I just had other plans. The thought came to me out of no where to invest in a move to Texas. Long story short. I packed up me and my 2 kids and made the biggest move of my life! I started off working at Spring Branch High as a Teacher assistant. It was great for what it was, and I took he huge pay cut for a move I felt was going to elevate me to a place in my life I never lived. I begin putting apps, and didn’t realize I put an application in at a Real estate Brokerage company. Keller Williams paid a portion of my schooling to start real estate school. I soon became an Texas Realtor, and immediately jump right into it with the intention of giving it my all. I felt a feeling I never felt before while helping others attain something so big. It was soo fulfilling that I fell in love. I pulls me. It fills me up with Joy in helping others, peace in my finances, and determination to go harder. It turn me into my own self motivator. The feeling is so strong that it lifts me up on days I’m feeling discourage.
I provide guides, knowledge, and awareness on becoming an homeowner. I am a Realtor in Texas and Louisiana state. I love what I do, and will to take on any transaction big or small. My favorite part about what I do is spreading the knowledge on how to become a homeowner. People tend to shy away from reality’s they know nothing about and Im here to give insight on question anyone may have to help make homeownership a reality.
What sets my a part from other realtors is that throughout the entire transaction My mindset is all about them. Supporting their desires to become an homeowner.
I want my future clients to know that once we have made a connection, my intention is to always do my part and perform my duties to the best of my ability Hands down.
My advise to anyone is looking to become future homeowners is to start now. No matter how far down the line your are to purchasing a home. Start getting educated. Its never to early to start attaining the information you need to begin. Its part of the process. Know that patience, being focused, and staying open to any possibilities will get you to the closing table. Know that I am here with you throughout the entire process. Answer all your questions. We are a team. A divined partnership. Lets execute.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My determination and drive is what help build my foundation. From the beginning I was ready and willing. Inspite there situation, I’m looking forward to bring each one of my clients to the closing table.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy would have to be communication. I am constantly letting people know what i do through social media and in-person events. Getting yourself out there is always hard the beginning because it cause for you to give yourself away in a way you have never done before. No one is promoting you and you are not promoting for someone else. You are promoting yourself and what you do which calls to high belief in yourself.
