We were lucky to catch up with Jaidi recently and have shared our conversation below.

JAIDI, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

Growing up , I sometimes hear people say life is all about taking risks.
Taking risks to fall in love, taking risks to move to a new city, taking risks to invest in stock, and of course taking risks for businesses.

For me, I finally understood what they mean when I took the risks of leaving my VERY WELL PAID and WELL REGARDED luxury fashion corporate job to launch my own businesses – JAIDI FINDS and JAIDI RELOVES.

I have always had a burning passion for luxury fashion so working in this world is a no brainer for me. I love it and I strive in it. Somehow I also always had a little voice inside of me knowing I would one day be an entrepreneur – just like my own parents.
But working in a corporate job, I never knew how and what this means – how am I going to make money supporting myself?

So I dreamed on – literally – call me crazy, but I would play games and pretend I am a luxury personal shopper and stylist WELL BEFORE starting my own companies. I would go to stores and pretend to be one. I never knew why I did this to be honest, but I guess I was already manifesting my own future (I never even know what manifesting means back in 2017/2018…!)

Fast forwarding to 2019, I somehow starting posting luxury items on instagram – it was more of an inspired action, I didn’t really think of anything would come. BUT boy, it did come!

I started getting requests from clients, so I started shopping and sourcing for them and it blew up when COVID hit us.

The biggest risk came when I had to make decision to leave my job, where I know I’ll always have a salary and clothing allowance (OUCH!!!) BUT I was not happy at my job, I knew I was not meant to be there anymore. I felt it.

It took months of not knowing what to do because I was afraid and scared. I was afraid to fail and I was afraid – what if I don’t have clients? How am I going to pay my bills? What if this and that? Mainly, I was afraid of not having income to at least support my existing lifestyle (that would really suck!)

After months of being so miserable at my job, I asked my family and husband – should I leave and do my own thing? Of course, most of them say this : WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE YOUR WELL PAID CORPORATE JOB? MANY WOULD KILL TO HAVE YOUR JOB!

I have always been quite a rebel myself, so I ignored everyone’s advise and made up my mind – I will do whatever it takes to succeed, failure is NOT an option. I quitted my job and NEVER LOOKED BACK!

This is what I did – I betted on MYSELF.
I had unwavering faith in myself.
I know I have learned a lot throughout the years and I am smart and I work hard and I am going to be alright!

Little did I know – my business took off.

God has been by my side all these years. He equipped me with all the values, ethics, skill sets, experiences, resources and wisdom to do what I do now.

I have been so blessed knowing my bet and taking risks on myself – PAID OFF.

After successfully running JAIDI FINDS for 5 and a half year…

I again took another risk – even though I was scared again.

I launched my second business – JAIDI RELOVES, a few months ago during 2024 – and this again, has been very well received by clients and we have been very profitable since we launched!

This second launch of JAIDI RELOVES – taught and reminded me – that fear again, it came and it really crippled me a bit this time – because I had SO MUCH success with JAIDI FINDS, I was even more afraid to fail with JAIDI RELOVES. I had weeks of fear, doubt – I started doubting my own ability right before we launched during this summer 2024. It’s really crazy how we all get like this, or at least I do. To be honest, this was a huge undertaking because I already have my hands full with JAIDI FINDS my 1st business.

BUT I again – risked it and took a leap of faith – I betted on myself again.
Because I never want to look back and regret – I wish I did that.

Now I can say, I didn’t wish, I DID IT!

Taking risks is scary and I think many people are so scared to leave their current job to pursue something they love – all because of the fear of not making income/money; afraid of how family/others would see them if they fail.

But I can tell you and promise you from my own personal experience – IF you are pursuing what you TRULY are passionate about and you have the skills and you work hard – MONEY WILL COME. WHY? Because you are following your calling.

JAIDI, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Growing up, I have always dreamed of being an entrepreneur – where I have the freedom to do what I love most. To me, this is the real luxury.

Loving luxury fashion and the designer world is like breathing to me, I cannot explain it – it just is for me. Aside from travels and spending time with God and my loved ones, the luxury world makes me feel most alive. When I’m in it, I forget about time, I am in my own world. I love touching, seeing, trying, admiring and understanding all the details behind each luxury designer piece. It’s an instinct in me. It’s deep in my soul.

So getting up everyday to work and curating this luxury dream world full of beautiful, rare and unique pieces for you – it’s a dream come true – it’s a blessing and honor for me. It’s my gift and service to the world.

I own 2 businesses ( see below) – where I service clients worldwide by styling, shopping and sourcing for them luxury fashion pieces – bringing them smiles and joy and happiness!!!

JAIDI FINDS is my 1st BORN – i.e. my first business – a global luxury personal styling shopping concierge sourcing ONLY BRAND NEW and AUTHENTIC luxury pieces DIRECTLY from boutiques worldwide!

JAIDI RELOVES is my 2nd BABY – where the best VINTAGE, PRE-LOVED and some PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW LUXURY PIECES STILL WITH TAGS ON are housed.

Mostly clients come to me because they cannot find certain luxury pieces , it is sold out or very exclusive, so I work with my team and hunt them down for clients! This is valuable as we are offering a service of value : solving problems and saving clients’ time!

I think what sets me apart is my energy and I CARE DEEPLY! I really care about my clients – I want them to have the HAPPIEST and BEST experience from me and my team. Feeling special and feeling seen and heard!

What I am the most proud of is how I make my clients FEEL.
Luxury shopping is not just about the product itself, it’s also about the whole journey and experience.
I am very proud to say that our service is MUCH BETTER than most boutiques around the world ( I can truly say this because I know and heard real feedback from clients all the time! Also, I get many clients referrals which is a real and true testimonials of our services!)

And the last thing that I always make sure of with JAIDI FINDS AND JAIDI RELOVES –
KINDNESS TO EVERYONE.
Business is business BUT I always make sure we bleed kindness and love to all we do.
This is for myself and my team!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think it all comes down to integrity and doing what you promise the client.
And also how I make my clients feel!

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

I never had any funding for my business.
I did it with a few hundred dollars to be honest.

I slowly grew my business from GROUND ZERO.

So I would say to anything who thinks they need any capital to start what they love :
the true answer is you don’t really need much to start – you will have be willing to work hard , run lean and work smart.
Don’t overspend on fancy offices, or over investing in packaging before you have solid income.

Start humble and slowly grow.
