We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Laura Freudenberg. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Laura below.
Laura, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
I got my first client from my son. He was 12 years old and playing outside. He went to a garage sale on our street. He started talking to the neighbors, and they needed to sell their home. So my son told them I was a real estate agent, and he gave them my number.

Laura, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I was a stay-at-home mom for 12 years. My husband was offered his dream job. So it was only fair that I go and support him. A friend of ours was a realtor and I had been talking to him about getting in the business. Being a Real Estate agent isn’t easy, but it’s the best job for me. I love helping my clients. It can be such a roller coaster ride and so hard for them. Getting them to the closing table is an honor. I get my clients from referrals. I do the right thing for my clients. I always treat them like family and my children. I always tell them they are stuck with me for life. LOL. I babysit for them and keep in touch with them. It’s so important to understand the emotions that they go through and be able to help them. I think my greatest strength is being there for my clients every step of the way. It’s an honor to be a part of the process of buying a home or selling their home. I’m very good at holding their hands. I think I want people to know that I do this because I love it. I’m real. What you see is me. I love my life and my family. My life hasn’t always been easy but it got me to this point. I try to see the beauty in everything. My husband and kids are my life.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being honest, nice, and knowing what I’m doing. I believe the calmer I am and treating people with respect makes buyers, seller, and agents want to work with me. I’m strong and not a push over but I stand my ground nicely.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I call my past clients and leave them gifts through the year on their door step.
